Messaging (SMS) app problems

Hi Guys ... Hope someone can help
i've bought a unbranded note 8 . n950f
i'm on three and want to use there wifi calling.
i've downloaded the H3G firmware off sams and wifi calling works HOWEVER on that firmware the messaging app will not send SMS and the text message call centre settings are greyed out preventing changes.. SMS does work if i use a 3rd party app like gosms. ans built in wifi calling also works.
if i put the generic UK BTU firmware on messaging works however wifi calling (VOLTE) is not there..
anyone got any ideas please ? or know of another H3G firmware other than N950FXXU1AQHA that i coukld try

Which messaging app are you trying to use that doesn't work?

What settings have you got in the H3G ROM for IMS? Do they differ when you are running BTU?

To view the IMS settings, you can use Nova to make a shortcut, or follow these instructions I lifted...

1. Download Shortcut Master from app store (Light version works, but it's a great app, support the dev if you can)
2. Open the app and go to the menu (three dot's top right) and select app explorer
3. Scroll down to IMS Settings and select it.
4. Scroll down to ImsSettingsLauncherActivity (last item on my list) select it and hit launch.
