... my phone is not showing any signals after flashing Salty Bean and in Phone Info, 'Set Preferred network type' is set to Unknown no matter what i choose from the list it is always unknown. i guess the radio is not turned on cuz the button below says "Turn On radio". kindly Help ...

That's exactly why he said you should go read on it, expend your knowledge.

As for your modem, it is really hard to suggest one as they act differently depending on your region. If you know what was your modem before flashing, you could get that one back in the modem thread. Otherwise, you'll have to test them.

... thanx alot but i can only try to flash new modems in the morning cuz no PC rite now. And how to know which is the modem currently being used ? ...

Download one the CM/MIUI modem zips from here, once the download is complete, reboot into recovery and flash it.

P.S. I prefer KC1.

... sir i flashed ddjp6 and on reboot i got signals but to confirm it i rebooted it to find same thing again !!! What is goin on ...

You can try a few different modems.. also you need to let it settle down a bit before you go nuts on your phone. flash, leave it be for a few minutes and then test it. If it doesn't work, you try another.
