I used to use Google's version of Messenger until I got my N8. It had a clean and simple interface. Haven't loaded it on my phone yet as I'm gonna play around with some alternatives. Though if I want to send images or videos I usually use WhatsApp as all my friends and family have it. I don't know about the USA but here in the UK text messages and phone calls are usually unlimited and included in most plans but sending multimedia messages usually cost money and aren't included in most plans.

I like the interface, the customizability, and the fact that it doesn't break long messages up. There's probably a slew of others that I'm not aware of too.
I like the optional sending delay.
You send a text and you have these option to cancel the message.
Works great on my dual sim note 8

popup and quick replay are on textra as far as i know.

read up on the update in the store.

tmobile variant. first sammy device. did not use samsung switch nor did i restore from some old backup.

there is a + on the left side of the app down where you type.

i press that in portrait and landscape, and the option bar (or whatever its called) always shows up. always.

and yes gifs and live messages work too! :cowboy:

I am surprised no YAATA users. I used Textra a while back and there was something I didn't like about it. I think I couldn't pin specific contacts to the top and I think also that I could not use select one color for all contacts.

Live messages work now? They aren't before. You mean on Textra, correct?
