I just updated to 12.5.4 stable from 12.5.2 CN stable without any issues through the stock Updater by installing the Incremental update posted. It was 190MB in size: https://bigota.d.miui.com/V12.5.4.0...RKACNXM-V12.5.4.0.RKACNXM-82305bc78b-11.0.zip

I've only had the update for a few minutes but the camera quality right off the bat seems way better. Zoom seems a lot more stable and much improved. The ultrawide has slightly less distortion and soft corners now from what I'm seeing. I will take some more photos when I go outside later.

12.5.4 is supposed to bring a nice amount of camera improvements (they said 13 in total), especially in low light, zoom, ultrawide angle's barrel distortion and more as shown here:

Thanks for the feedback, what went wrong here? Trying to downgrade from 12.5 Chinese to 12.0 global? Please let me know so I'm sure if to wait for 12.5 global
I did this on fastboot, from 12.5.2 to global 12.0.1 and no issues at all, after unlocking bootloader
No, you WILL brick the device. Do not downgrade. I suggest flashing latest stable from xiaomi.eu. No features are missing, L1 is there, multi language support is there, no chinese bloatware, full google support.
I did this exact move on the Mi 11 Ultra and went well :)

Working 100%. On CN something's missing on the USB detection and options, as Android Auto just won't work. I hope 12.5 doesn't take to long to reach global, as I'm still on 12.0.1 :(

gracias Carlos!

but it worked fine?

I tried to and bricked my phone. Had to contact an EDL service and he remotely installed global 12.0.6.0 RKAEUXM on my mi 11 ultra. Took about 2 hours. Many tries. Cost 2200 Ru rubbles.
Now many features, like font exchange, schedule power on/of are not available anymore. I would never do it again.
hey man can you let me know how to contact EDL?.... i havent tried the flash yet but i want to have the # to contact them as backup if anything goes wrong

I am on the same boat..I turned my CN version as much as possible to global version but Android Auto is bummer. I have seen some forums it is working on EU rom but I will wait few weeks before taking drastic action.

I had a Huawei phone and this is my first Xiaomi. I learned it hard way that these phones does have MHL support so no more hdmi connection to tv to watch stuff..

Other than above, I am happy with the phone

For those of you who were able to flash an older version of the global rom on to your CN version, did you have to edit the bat files first? Because im currently on V12.5.4 on my CN version mi 11 ultra. I just attempted to flash the Global rom v12.0.1 and every time i hit the flash button in the mi flash tool, i get "error: Antirollback check error." I've seen online that some people edit the bat file to delete the rules to bypass the antiroll back, but for those of you here that were able to flash and older version on the global rom, did you guys have to do this process i just mentioned, or was it as simple and pressing flash for you guys? Im tempted to try and edit the bat files and flash the older version of global rom, but im scared to brick my phone. Any suggestions or tips? thanks.

I got no problem flashing it on my Mi11 pro without editing the bat file. I think the only requirement is to unlock the bootloader.

Xiaomi don't seem in a hurry to release any global updates do they!
Because when i tried both I realized that Global is a Stable Beta ! And Chinese version of software is the most polished firmware available. Google services supported (basic services pre installed already).
The only problem is choice of Languages.
Happy me I leave in US...and my preferred language is English.... which is included in Chinese firmware. We already getting 12.5.50 and you still waiting 12.5 lmao

I tried yesterday going from the Chinese to global kept getting bunch of errors and than it got stuck in fastboot ended up going back to the Chinese one, I just don't understand what happened flashing back to the Chinese one only took one try but trying any of the other two the global and Eu just got errors like image don't match device, or couldn't load sparse or flashing timed out... Any ideas will be appreciated.. thanks in advance...
In addition to what has already been written: I would think the anti rollback mechanism hit. Chinese is 12.5.x whereas the others are (to my knowledge) 12.0.x....
I would advise to install the Xiaomi.EU custom ROM which is based on the Chinese ROM but with lot of customizations, including full western language support... That way you would get best of both :)

I want to try global rom because of battery life. With eu rom i only get 4 - 4.30 hours sot. It seems so low for me.
