I was as well, and moved to the EU ROM. Very nice change :)

Same here. I unlocked the bootloader earlier today and moved to EU ROM.
Also don't know about y'all but my phone used to get very warm when doing nothing heavy on Global ROM. Happy to report it is no longer the case on Xiaomi.EU ROM. Phone stays rather cool most of the time! (y)

I really want the global since I'm in United States. Thank you I'll look
Hey man, I'm also from the states. I was on the same boat as you. After a bunch of frustration and not being able to flash the global rom for some reason (might have something to do with global rom being an older version) , I tried out the Eu rom and so far it's fantastic. Everything works better and has google service integrated. So far I'm glad I installed the Eu rom, but I will definitely still keep an eye out for an updated version of global rom.

You may but i really don't want to flash each update using fastboot when everything is working fine on china stable just got updated to 12.5.4.0
They have stable 12.5.x too. As soon as China releases anything they take the firmware and remove the bloat and add Google apps. They have both stable and developer/weekly roms, just like the china roms.

I updated and already hate it.
There is a bag every time after reboot you have to go and manually re-enable 120Hz screen refresh rate. Otherwise the phone is lags very badly.
Yea i notice that it is anoying, but still better then mi 10 ultra boot bug, i notice one more bug, my netflix finnaly start supporting dolby vision but sometimes when i put down control center it destroy whole image( graphical artefacts on display unusable i cant see anything) I have to push home button and close netflix to solve this. But still only 3 days remaning to unlock bootloader i am thinking to move to EU rom, when OTA updates starts working

The funny part that this ota shouldn't be pushed. I believe is stable "beta" How come i getting it by air lmao. (If i never subscribe to beta)
I flashed back 12.5.4 via fastboot but in the end update it to latest cuz that ota notification was so noisy.

Vivo X90 Pro Plus
Just updated to 12.5.7 stable on CN. Not a lot in the change log again but it feels like there's a new update every week on CN stock.

Hi! Thinking to buy the Mi 11 Pro. They are exactly the same roms? Which one should I pick?

Can I flash the 12.0.1 global rom to my 12.5.2 Chinese version via fastboot, knowing that i have the Mi11 pro?
No, you WILL brick the device. Do not downgrade. I suggest flashing latest stable from xiaomi.eu. No features are missing, L1 is there, multi language support is there, no chinese bloatware, full google support.

I just updated to 12.5.4 stable from 12.5.2 CN stable without any issues through the stock Updater by installing the Incremental update posted. It was 190MB in size: https://bigota.d.miui.com/V12.5.4.0...RKACNXM-V12.5.4.0.RKACNXM-82305bc78b-11.0.zip

I've only had the update for a few minutes but the camera quality right off the bat seems way better. Zoom seems a lot more stable and much improved. The ultrawide has slightly less distortion and soft corners now from what I'm seeing. I will take some more photos when I go outside later.

12.5.4 is supposed to bring a nice amount of camera improvements (they said 13 in total), especially in low light, zoom, ultrawide angle's barrel distortion and more as shown here:

I tried yesterday going from the Chinese to global kept getting bunch of errors and than it got stuck in fastboot ended up going back to the Chinese one, I just don't understand what happened flashing back to the Chinese one only took one try but trying any of the other two the global and Eu just got errors like image don't match device, or couldn't load sparse or flashing timed out... Any ideas will be appreciated.. thanks in advance...
In addition to what has already been written: I would think the anti rollback mechanism hit. Chinese is 12.5.x whereas the others are (to my knowledge) 12.0.x....
I would advise to install the Xiaomi.EU custom ROM which is based on the Chinese ROM but with lot of customizations, including full western language support... That way you would get best of both :)

I want to try global rom because of battery life. With eu rom i only get 4 - 4.30 hours sot. It seems so low for me.
