No it was fastbood outdated version which didn't support the adnvanced command to flash vbmeta, power+vol down lead me to fastbood not recovery lolzz, issue resolved..

What should I do when the Unlock Tool stops at 50% and reports: couldn't verify the device. Is it because I haven't waited the 10 days yet?

Did you ever find a solution? I've had the same problem for months without a solution.

Unfortunately I can't help you with that but I have a question did you wait 10 days or not cause my phone just refuses to cooperate with the unlock tool. Sometimes the fastboot logo just disapears and it says press any button to shutdown.
Edit: Just to clarify the flash tool does not say anything about the waiting period. If someone can help me or clarify the situation I would greatly appreciate it.
Alright so it appears to either be a USB gen limitation or just my plain ass stupidity for not installing adb drivers. Hell if I know but either way now it says how many days I have to wait so nice.

Unfortunately not. Even my USB 2.0 ports on my mobo haven't been working. Only my laptop's ports have worked with the MIUI flash tool. That is really strange but there's nothing I can do. I tried to uninstall adb drivers and reinstall them to no avail. For now, I am sorry to tell you but you might have to try other PCs or laptops and see if the flash tool work there.

I unlocked the bootloader and installed the TWRP (The official and unofficial TWRP remains, after start stock rom, only if I install magisk), but when I do the various wipes and reboot recovery from recovery the phone remains in fastboot and I have to restore it with miflashtool. I can't find any solutions. Do you have solutions ?

I use global and eea ROM

I have modded many phones and no one has ever given me this problem.

Doing some research on the internet I saw that it can be connected to the Global or European ROM and to the android version (mine is 10). Some say they install the Chinese dev rom and then install the TWRP. Someone had the same problem and solved it this way. Which Chinese ROM should I download, is the latest or previous one ok?

I indeed have found a solution. I just used an old computer (from 2015) and it worked perfectly fine.

Because I switched from Samsung to Xiaomi and in Samsung, if you modified the system/bootloader/recovery, you won't get any system update until you reflash the stock rom again. Other question, what do I loose if I unlock the bootloader? Like, no more nfc payments and what else?

I have unlocked bootloader and I received OTA. Installed and it sucks. Yesterday and all night I spent downgrading. Things just can't go smooth .
My advice is to wait a week or two until you update. After update i have a lot of app crashes, camera didn't work, couldn't install GCam and other complications. But the worst were the ads. I just couldn't block them. When i Open the page there were 3 big ads. Because of ads i couldn't see one letter of text i came to read.

Can anyone please help me... I can install TWRP without any problems. However if I boot to system and then reboot the phone into TWRP, it's still the stock recovery. Do you know why?

And how can I make it permanent TWRP?

I have written fastboot flash recovery "img name".img and it installs but I can reboot into TWRP after that..

I think it is possible. In MiFlash there is that "flash all and lock" option. Just be sure to have the same firmware varient flashed or it will lead to a hard brick.

use mi 9 lite global fastboot rom and flash with mi flash tool. before flashing select clear all and relock.
then complete your flash.
