edit #2: THE UNLOCK APP DOESNT WORK ON AMD RYZEN

hi all,
i tried unlocking the bootloader with the mi unlock app as described here: http://en.miui.com/thread-246705-1-1.html
app version: miflash_unlock-en-3.3.827.31

sadly on step 6.) the app is never able to "see" the phone and the only thing that shows up is the "not connected to phone" text. anyone with the same problem and knows how to fix it?

when i press "click the button to install the drive" is shows "mi drive installed" as confirmation (screenshot)
this is how the phone shows up in my windows 10 device manager: (screenshot)

thanks for reading!

edit: when i open the mipcsuite it says: "you need to update your device" but my poco is running miui 10.0.6.0 stable... i dont know what else to do/try...

so i got a little bit further with this issue. there is A SECOND USB DEBUGGING OPTION in the settings, why is this not mentioned anywhere??? (screenshot)
after enabling it i get the mi unblock app to see the phone but then it stops verifying at 50% with the non-descript error message (-1) (screenshot)

maybe somebody knows what to do from here?

edit: it shows me only 1 attachment under "attached thumbnails" but there are two, just navigate to the second picture via the first one

Did you try to unlock with another PC as suggested in the link posted in your first post?

i guess you are referring to this: "3. Use another PC (64-bit) to unlock if MI Unlock Tool fails to detect your device/ unknown error."
but i only have amd pc's and it is a 64bit system (including the os)... but i have found clues in other threads that it might be amd ryzen related, so i guess thats my only option then... what a ****ing ****show xiaomi's software is, it's rediculous!

Yes... Its F**king Ryzen, it wont work eventhough it shows drivers are installed, Try unlocking on any Intel system.. Boom it works..

PS: even i have Ryzen system but i unlocked my phone on Intel based laptop which I use rarely..

well since literally every other software works just fine on my ryzen system i doubt amd or ryzen is to blame here...

edit: although i thought it was no use i gave an older amd system a try and it kinda worked... BUT (of course there is a but) now it tells me i have to wait 35h before i can unlock my phone!? didnt they say they got rid of the waiting period? wtf...

You should be glad that it is only 35 hours as against 72 hours that I am facing. To my knowledge, Xiaomi merely said that they changed the earlier method where after registering with them, you had to wait indefinitely till you received a SMS message from them. Now atleast you know how long you have to wait. Some progress

so basically "we got rid of the waiting period! (but there is a second waiting period we left in...)" great, *slow clap...
well that 35h is after ~two days of figuring out wtf is going on, so maybe the timer was already running?!?

May be one of your earlier attempts got through though the tool did not let you know. Because I have not so far seen anything less than 72 hours in the threads I visited.

well at one point the tool even said something along the lines of "phone successfully unlocked" which was obviously false...
