Bammm ridotto a 6 ore adesso.

sorry but having an old account is used to immediately unlock a phone without doing the 168 hours? because I used the old account where the hours are up and I unlocked a phone but this time I don't count it makes me start over

If you already unlocked any phone on that account you dont have to wait

Ok I don’t know what people did but for me its still not working. My original EU account shows 68hr left. If I log in with US created account I still get wait 168HR.. so I guess I just have to stick with EU account and wait another 68HR. Also this EU account is my original account where I got binding error before, considering I’ve already unlocked bootloader on Mi A1 before using same account. Strange how some people get no waiting time and instant unlock.
Even If I created new EU account still 168hr wait

You should read the thread before saying it doesn't work. People who don't have a waiting time have either already waited the 168h or have an old device, Xiaomi remove the waiting time for old devices as I said multiple times.

Hi mates.
Speculation: let's be ready for EU regulations preventing us to get full ownership of our devices... the few unlock-friendly companies will have to lock us down soon.
Being digitally anonymous will be over soon. Huge money involved.
Before they try to take control over crypto markets, they need to get a full grip on mobile devices...
Is there any spoofing method for bootloader status?? So, we can fake being locked while we are still unlocked??
See ??!!

After many tries with modified unlockers, VPN and so on I was finally able to unlock my mi 9t pro with a german number&sim. I created a new US Mi-Account and added my phone there. Then I was able to unlock it with the current unlock tool. No VPN, no modifications, no waiting for days.

Given the number of various bugs on mi.com and Xiaomi ecosystem, espacially on auth system, I would advise to wait for a reaction on Xiaomi behalf before convincing ourselves of a voluntary change in policy, preventing EU users of unlocking bootloader.

It's been a week, it's frustrating, but as of now, it's pure speculation (and fear) to suspect a deliberate move.

Let's keep checking, trying, and most important, reporting+++ on mi.com.

An article from @xda would help, as we - as simple users - have no way of questioning Xiaomi directly.

Can we spam Xiaomi through its rrss or some support chat? If we use a similar speech we may attract attention. It would be helpful if the media talked about this problem.

Thanks to those who tried some solutions. Do we confirm that it happens from Europe only? I am from Spain. Yesterday I got tired of trying.
