I have had my mi3 for over a year now and i am quite happy with it except for the fact that if I turn my GPS on and turn it off, it still seems to run in the background sucking away on the battery unless i restart the phone. It's just this problem that pushed me towards custom roms, where this problem was solved but I love mi3 stock sound and camera quality. So i did a clean install of miui v6 6.6.4.0 KXDMICF and behold, the bug is still there.
Can anyone confirm if this is a standard bug. Just turn on and off your GPS, and after 2 hours or so check, settings ->additional settings ->battery -> battery use -> press the tiny clock icon on the top right and see if "GPS on" below the graph was blue for last 2 hours.
If this is a standard issue, it might mean a lot of people can get even better battery life from their devices and appreciate their device more
