Mi4c help!

Hi all, I'm not sure this is in the right thread, but I have just got a new Mi4c and I am struggling to get an international ROM on it! I am not the most Tech savvy person so please bear with me. I have deposited a new ROM in the phones downloaded ROM folder through updater but when I try to open it, it comes up with "can't verify update"! I am thinking I need to root the phone? If so, can i please get a step by step process as I am struggling to achieve this!

You must install TWRP recovery, and then flash the multirom from MIUI. Look at this:

Then install MultiL ROM from xiaomi.eu http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/6-4-21.31210/
