Downgrade to ICS???

Advice/Guidance required:

How to downgrade my micromax canvas 2 A110 from 4.2.2 custom rom (kernel 3.4.89) back to ICS? What precautions to be taken?
Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks.

One not-satisfactory i get is the booting animation/logo in the custom ROMs., i love to see/retain the official "canvas superfone 2" boot animation, which i didn't get from any custom ROMs, hence i wished to downgrade. Any clue how i could achieve having official boot animation with custom ROM please?

Hi dare2know, i did try to what all i could, however the max i was able to change the boot image but not the boot animation.
For example, when i put suvi turbo v16 rom, my canvas 2 a110's boot animation changes to samsung, but i need to have the stock rom's boot animation showing as canvas 2 superfone. If it is possible to change the boot animation of any custom roms please guide me. Or provide me links if you have any please.

There have two booting images.
One is located in /media folder in system and other is bin file.
first bin file load with kernel, after that from media file.

you can get stock image of kernel from my thread. There has Battery Patch which contain Stock superphone image.
You should flash it via CWM.

Thanks.

Same Problem

My moms canvas2 is facing a typical problem. As soon as select any contact and hit the call button the screen goes blank and the phone becomes unresponsive. But i can hear the call and talk normally but the screen wont ON even if i press the power button, volume button etc.
After the person at the other end cuts the call only then the screen will turn ON and the phone works normally. This happens only during the calls.
I have rooted the phone and flashed multiple Roms but the problem is persistent. . Can anybody help me out with this problem and is anybody else facing this problem.

Man its not with the touch panel, its your proximity sensor which is not working, get the hardware Disabler app from playstore and disable the proximity sensor

Unable to flash

Hi,

I have Micromax Canvas 2 with the custom ROM (MIUI V5) installed and it worked fine. When I wanted to sell this off, I have just taken my data back up and then RESET the phone with Backup and Reset option in the settings menu.

It erased everything and while rebooting it came with the LOGO and then the android Image and is not booting properly and did not fully boot. I tried to flash this original Micromax STOCK ROM with SP Tools also. But no used. WIth Vol+ and Vol- and Power buttons option, I tried to enter the Recovery mode but it does not go to recovery also.

For SP Tools. I opened the SP Tools, selected the scatter.txt file from the folder and then pressed on download button while putting the battery after pressing the download button. WIth the power supply, the phone is getting powered on and not flashing.,

Please suggest me

y do u need to go in boot loder.
turn off ur fone
lode the .img
start download
plug in usb
and most imortant.

Come on MMX A110 owners, let's start some serious development on this phone !!!
I shall try my best to keep the O.P. updated.

Sign this Petition to try to persuade Micromax to arrange Kernel source for their device and release them for further development of the phones.
    30
After lots of hard work and studies of the chipset I have successfully overclocked the CPU to 1.2Ghz along with tons of other improvements
According to my tester sheshuvadrevu, the performance has reached to high level and has marginally reached to that of Jellybean and this will be amazing when the kernel will be JB compatible.
    Checkout the screenshots attached.

Secondly, I am postponing the release to 5 March 2013 becasue there is lots to come in the first release and will be super-power packed!
I am going to start with Jellybean compatibility tomorrow so as to convert the upcoming kernel to a cross-compatible common kernel ;)

I know after seeing this post many of you are going to be impatient especially after checking screenshots :p but to get best of the best you need patience :D

    Cheers!
