Anyone tried flashing SuperSU from the custom recovery? Got rooted? I prefer SuperSu over Kingroot

For me i didn't unlock bootloader and recovery works fine.is it required to unlock the bootloader???

I have tried kingroot a number of times but it said no strategy available. I have used kingroot v4.60, even tried with pc but no use,so who has rooted with kingroot can you tell which version you used and if possible share the apk here as i want to remove unwanted apps asap...pls reply:crying:

I used 4.52 version (4.6 just got released 2-3 days ago, so haven't tried it).

for recovery problem, follow the instruction in the first post. make sure to unlock bootloader before that

Bro, I tried that but still got stock recovery after reboot (MMX A120). Anyone else facing the same problem?

i think he's using @ariafan kernel of aosp rom which doesn't have storage issue

For the root, Not to confuse KingoRoot and KingRoot .

KingRoot root AOSP 5.0.2 Ariafan . ( persevere 2/3 transition )

Then for recovery , use RASHR find on Playstore for flash new recovery .

yup everything working, battery timings good so far. only problem which (temporary hopefully) is internal storage being very low.

If u r using the 8GB then it won't be a problem as you get around 4.8 GB, for the 4GB version I guess it's around 1GB (not sure). Till now no bugs found Also the root and xposed are working fine, and battery is same as good.
Compared to @ariafan's AOSP, some features like Anti-Theft, AppOps, are mssing, but you can always get a 3rd party app do that.

I have tried both kingroot and also the method I flashed ctr recovery and tried to root but when I restart the phone it removes the recovery and replaces it with stock don't know how and formats my data automatically and again pure lollipop is there can you tell why is that happening???BTW I m using c2c 4gb version

UNLOCK BOOTLOADER, FLASHING CUSTOM RECOVERY, ROOTING*

Requirements :*
Laptop or Desktop with windows OS*
USB Data cable

Files Required:
adb.zip :

Supersu.zip :
http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
.
Download adb.zip file and extract it in your PC path
C:/ADB
now place recovery.img in ADB folder
.
WARNING:
-> Unlocking bootloader will erase all your data. So backup your data before unlocking bootloader

PROCEDURE :

-> Now copy SuperSu.zip in Root of the SDcard in your device
-> now keep mobile TURN ON and connect mobile to PC using USB cable
-> Now navigate to ADB folder c:/ADB
-> Now open adb terminal by "shift + right click" and select "open command prompt here"
-> Enter below commands one after another

Code:

adb devices

if device is displaying in command window then type next command.

Code:

adb reboot-bootloader

then the devices goes to fastboot mode which is showing in the screen.

Code:

fastboot oem unlock

this command will unlocks your bootloader.

Code:

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

this will flash recovery.

Code:

fastboot boot recovery recovery.img

this will boot recovery.

5. Now flash supersu.zip which is stored in your SD-card
6. Now your device get rooted. Now reboot.
7. Now again reboot to recovery.
8. If u successfully booted to ctr recovery
Then no need follow next step.
9. If still it is showing stock recovery, then again flash recovery.img using flashify app as your device is already rooted.
10. Now u can enjoy custom recovery now.

Didn't unlocked it before on any roms(kk&Lp)..
