Hello, everyone.
I have a Junsun v1 pro purchased in December.
The built-in microphone picks up very low sound. The radio when connecting the external microphone does not pick up any sound, neither in the external microphone nor in the integrated microphone. Of three different microphones that I have tried, I have only managed to get one of them to be heard, but this is the microphone that takes the hands-free wired headset of a smartphone, but it picks up very low sound as well and is not designed for this.
Can you help me?
You can try again after disconnecting the internal mic.

Thanks for the reply.
The Chinese seller recommended that I unplug and plug that board. When I had it disconnected, I tried the microphone of the hands-free headphones of the smartphone. I didn't notice a difference.
I'll try to do it with a normal microphone.

Good idea. This will disable the background light of the buttons but that doesn't matter for a temporary test.

Let's see if it's better with an external mic. My expectation is, the head unit works like a Bluetooth headset so its microphone (or mic connected to the hu) and its speakers (your cars speakers connected to the hu) are used.

I check it and comment result.

Good morning.
I have disconnected the integrated microphone board and connected the external microphone, it does not pick up any sound, it stays muted (the same as with the connected board). It is as if when connecting the external microphone the radio detected it, but did not know how to choose that microphone.

Usually both microphones are active in parallel. Can you test with another external microphone?
You could install a simple recorder app like
on the head unit to test the mic.

Today I have tested it with two different external microphones (one that is already installed from the previous 2din android and a new one that I bought). More than that, I had previously tried it with another external microphone and a hands-free wired headset from the smartphone (the latter did work, I picked up the sound very low but they worked).
Regarding the application to record sound and the tent installed. When the external microphone is connected, regardless of whether the built-in microphone is connected or not, it does not record any sound. Even turning the volume all the way up you can't hear anything.

Hi.
I've gotten it to work with the fourth mic I've tried. The latter is trs. With the ts and trs adapter on my computer it doesn't work.
In any case, although it is heard better, it is still heard very low. Do you know of a way to increase the microphone gain?

Thank you.
My radio doesn't give me that option, the code to access engineer mode is: 123456. Once inside and in hardware testing, it doesn't give me that option and the options it does have are none of it useful for me to correct the microphone.

Here you can download and install a newer firmware on your own risk

Hi.
I have installed the update without any problem. At first glance, everything seems to work fine.
But the microphone is still low volume and engineer mode still doesn't give the option to increase the volume.

    I don

I do not know, somehow they must connect to each other. Sounds difficult.
Have you found why the car play works better? Does your iPhone uses its own microphone?
I've look into CarPlay forums and apparently CarPlay uses whatever microphone the head unit does. So if it's an aftermarket HU, CarPlay would use the HU mic. They say CarPlay definitely does not use the phone mic because it is designed in a way that you would just toss the phone out of reach for safety reasons.

However, what might make a difference is that I link my CarPlay with a cable, not bluetooth. The bluetooth connection could be the issue here. Which is weird because it's otherwise quite stable.

I saw a video of a guy using another aliexpress HU (SC7862) who is able to switch to the car microphone from the settings of the HU (
). I don't know however if Junsun offers such an option.

Same problem here (among others). Is there any external mic which works fine? A parrot external mic would work?

    Thanks.

I found a description of the cable. Interestingly, the document refers to four microphone cables instead of two. Fortunately, I have a cable finder, so if everything goes well, I can easily find the other end of the microphone wires near the head unit.
Thank you.! In my car I found where the cables are.! They are at the Bluetooth module harness and are yellow and black cable..!
