it opens up 4 gig + file sizes to your SD card which fat32 cannot? - one obvious advantage - : this means you can play hd movies on your phone without having to re-encode them again.

So ntfs is useless!

SGS3 support exFat which also does not have the 4GB file limit (and windows can read exFat partitions)

I still wouldnt say it was totally useless, it will mean that any phone can access it with that app, as far as I am aware there is no exfat mounting app, i.e, if you format you sd card as exfat then only your phone or other exfat devices can read it - not a major issue but handy nonetheless.
