Minecraft PE compatibility issue with S3 mini?

I just bought an S3 Mini GT-I 8190 and while I'm playing Minecraft, the screen would start to flicker and stutter horribly. Is anybody else playing Minecraft on this phone and having the same problem? Also, while I'm using the phone, sometimes I would get error messages saying fruit ninja has stopped unexpectedly or another app has stopped unexpectedly. I'm thinking of returning the phone. I've only had it for 2 days and have not done anything to it. BTW, I'm running Minecraft PE 0.5.0 full version. Thanks.

No issues here. I alap bought the phone 2 days ago, and no problem with MC nor Fruit Ninja

I noticed that while I'm playing MC, if there is any phone activities that interrupts the game like getting a phone call or if I pause the game and let the screen turn off, when I go back into the game, it will stutter and flicker to the point where the touch screen is unresponsive and I have to force close it.
