Lol, he thinks Mojang is a person.

Sent from my SHIELD using xda app-developers app
Who are you referring to?

IMHO if you really are email a company it is better to say I emailed Company X then I emailed Person Y.

Here is a response from mojang on minecraft pe, that does not surprise me as they have blamed just about everyone rather then admitting they need to fix it.

Nvidia does not list Minecraft as one of the games that they have tested that works on Shield. Please contact them for help with the controls. There are ways to get Minecraft to work on nvidia shield but non of them are official so we can't support them.

yeah, I call bull**** on their excuse, the shield controls are a standard human input device readable with the standard android libs, they need nothing more than to install the android SDK to have access. Might email them myself with your quote there.

Nice for them to pass the buck, but unlike Sony, there's nothing special about the controller on SHIELD. They just don't support controllers in Minecraft PE. Whether it's connected over Bluetooth to a Nexus 10, or a SHIELD, it's unsupported.

It's really frustrating that the Amazon Fire TV has controller support but we don't! What's the difference really, come on?? Apparently someone got their Amazon Fire TV Minecraft apk working on their Note 2 and got a moga controller working.. So maybe that could be a way around the problem. But I'm not sure how to get a hold of the apk, let alone legally (obviously I won't get a pirate copy), though I already bought minecraft on PC and the Google Play Store so it's not like i morally object to getting a third virtually identical copy illegally.

thats why i bought minecraft on the fire tv and installed the apk on my nividia shield and paired it with the nyko playpad amazaon fire edition. :)

Works like a charm
