You don't want to give your significant other yet another reason to yell at you while you're reading XDA in bed. Rate this thread to express what you think of the Redmi Note 9 Pro's display minimum dimness. A higher rating indicates that the display can get extremely dim, ideal for reading in very dark environments.

Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

whether this phone uses PWM flickering, if so...

which brightness percentage does it start at, and what is the lowest frequency?

Does this phone use the exact same screen as the Redmi Note 6S?

Screen flickering / PWM not detected.
In comparison: 50 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 18284 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 2500000) Hz was measured.

We found no evidence of PWM flickering. Response times were too high to satisfy the demands of competitive gamers
