So you mean that using the screenbeam pro even playing the android games also have half second lag right but i though it is optimize for the shield and the lag is very less and you will not notice it?
I notice it very well. I even played asphalt 8 and when I turn left or right there is noticeable lag between my input and what happens on the screen. I figured since I could not stream from steam that I would at least use it for android apps and the like, but even playing android games there is noticeable lag. I have a direct line of sight where it sit from the unit and I am only about 8 -10 feet away, so i should not be having this issue. It might be an issue with the screenbeam pro unit, but I really don't feel like exchanging it and trying again. I am going to take it back and get my money back and possibly try another brand later.

This is my experience, so ask others before you make a decision.

TV is set to game mode or equivalent right? Just trying to rule out any TV post processing.

Yup, my TV has been on game mode since I bought the Shield which was the day it was released. Haven't taken it off since.

Das, you need to update the Screenbeam firmware, not NVidia drivers or shield. And make sure the bottom left corner has build 1.1.0.93

If you did that firmware update and still have that lag, you may have a faulty unit. I will try and get some shield tv screen footage to give reference of input

I have done the latest update. I usually check every few days as Nvidia has been pretty good about releasing bug fixes so far.

I bought the screanbeam pro over the weekend, and I am not a big fan of it. I noticed about a half second lag while doing anything. You also can't stream your pc games using miracast as it uses the wifi signal so you can only stream android games to the tv wirelessly which is a bummer for me. I play more pc games on my shield than android games right now so I really have no use for it.
Oh geez that didn't even occur to me that its not possible to miracast streamed games which kind of kills the whole miracast thing for me. I guess I'll be investing in a really long HDMI cord

Dang, didnt even think about that. That thinks for the tip. I am glad I did not have time to take it back this weekend. I will try the update tonight and let you know how it works.

Ya that was a bummer for me when I found that out. I would still like to use it for android gaming. So hopefully the unit will perform better when I update the firmware.

Das7771. How is the result after you have update the screenbeam pro firmware?

The update improves performance quite a bit. I can now say that im my opinion it is very usable. There is still a slight delay but it is minimal. Before updating I tried playing asphalt 8, and in my opinion it was unbearable to play. Now after updating I played a few races and it works really well now. I like it how it works now and plan on keeping it.

Hi guys, I'm thinking of picking up the screenbeam pro for my shield, but i'm also wondering how it would work with my other android devices. Anybody here try the screenbeam pro with a galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition or galaxy note II? If so, please give me some feedback on how it works with either of those devices. Thanks!
