Am I the only one really pissed off by the removal of Smart Burst capability from Google Camera in our Pixel 3 in Android 10?

I just can't believe it... So useful thing, just removed supposedly in favour of Top Shot, which is something that covers just part of what you could do with Smart Burst.

Google, I can't believe it...

Nope, you're not the only one pissed off about it.

Just found out and I am super pissed.

Worst part, I can't roll back because the USB port on my pixel 3 has been dead.

This is very messed up! I use the 3 takes a lot of sport action photos. That 1.5 sec via Top Shot is not enough time.

This update is total BS!!!

They didn't remove the uninstall updates feature, but it's instead hidden underneath the overflow menu on the app info page. You can revert the app back to the version which still includes Burst photos.
Right, or you can just uninstall it from google play which will set the version having the burst mode enabled :good:

Nope not the only one... I miss this feature a lot. As long as the quality of the "Top shot pictures" is lower than a "normal picture" (which is the case at the moment) it's no replacement for "Smart burst"..... :/

Is there a way to have the version with Smart burst still in and the latest version of the camera app installed at the same time ... Then I could at least choose the old version whenever I want to use Smart burst.

Smartburst restored!

Pixel 2 XL: I went to the Google play store and found the Google camera. I hit the "uninstall" button and Smartburst is back without losing the other updates.

Hope this works for others!

The feature wasn't really removed. They just changed how you access it. Simply press and hold the shutter button and it records a video. The video records up to 30 fps and then you can select the single frame from that recording and save it as a photo with hdr processing applied. Enjoy!
