missing memory after stock firmware flash

I have the SM-T705W (Telus) came with 32gb internal memory. Currently using a 64gb sd card for storage
I decided to reflash the stock rom in preparation to updating to a custom rom (6.0 or even 7.0), I wanted to start from a clean base.
My problem started after completing the stock restore ( Odin 3.12 -) using the telus stock software ( T705WVLU2B0E4)

After the flash completed I did a quick device check and noticed that my internal memory indicated a total of only 16gb not the 32gb previously shown. SD card seems to be un-affected.

I did complete the rooting and installation of TWRP successfully .

I've searched several forums here, and have done numerous google searches but can not find any indication on how to 'fix' the problem.
It may be a 'PIT' file issue but again there is no indication of there being a 32gb rom as opposed to 16gb rom.

If it is the pit file where can I find the correct one and what do I need to do to restore the 'missing' memory?

Would flashing a custom rom be the answer? If so which one?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try the resize option in TWRP.
