do you know if there are any problems if you wanted to go back to a11 once flashed 12?
No, I flashed 12.5.14 right after trying that. I was really deceived as there is none of the A12 experience plus full of bugs ... Even brave browser won't start ...
I have a POCO F3 with AOSP Syberia, I would like to install Xiaomi.eu stable, which version do you recommend? How should I proceed?
Will I receive future updates on my phone or should I download them from the site?
I have already unlocked the phone, started TWRP via pc, Magisk installed...
I'm on xiaomi.eu 12.5.14 (the last stable), it works well, for the moment I have not detected any relevant bags, the battery life is also good, I recommend it!
To flash it you need to have twrp, preferably this version:
Introduction: Team Win Recovery Project or TWRP for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added...forum.xda-developers.com
Also because the previous version is included in the installation package of the eu rom.
Yes, once a new stable update is released, the notification will arrive, but you will still have to flash it with twrp, let's say it is not as automated as the stock.
You will definitely have to reflash the magisk, also because you will have to format data and in any case the installation overwrites the boot partition.
DON'T FORGET A BACKUP!
Honestly I don't know if the flash works when switching from syberia, it works fine from stock though you could try, at most if it doesn't work, flash the stock with miflash.
ah ok, in fact the file to download is .img...
Very good! I'm glad it worked without causing any problems. It's a pleasure to be helpful, don't worry!Hi,
I flashed directly to the Syberia rom and everything went well. Thanks for the guide you gave me.
Now I have to root the phone, install Magisk... do you have a guide to install everything quickly?
In the settings my phone is seen as Redmi K40, is it not possible to make it POCO F3?
Great, root and Magisk are also fixed.Very good! I'm glad it worked without causing any problems. It's a pleasure to be helpful, don't worry!
So, to install magisk and maintain twrp there is this guide which explains each step very well:
Hi all. Hope you are good and safe from Covid-19. If you like TWRP as your recovery and want to keep root access as well, I am going to show you how to do that. Because if you take the stock boot.img and patch it via magisk, you will lose TWRP...forum.xda-developers.com
Regarding the name displayed in the settings I don't think it can be changed because xiaomi.eu is based on the Chinese version of the miui software and in China it is called k40. Our f3 is basically a rebrand for the global market
No need, you just have to unlock your bootloader, then boot into fastboot, connect the phone to your laptop/pc. then double click on the bat file to run the fastboot installation script in the rom zip file after you extract it. You can follow the full guide here:
