Yeah, it would be nice if the upgrade process was more automated like the stock one, although I think development level is complicated.
I don't think twrp works well on 12 then I assume that one way is to flash the stock with miflash then with twrp the xiaomi.eu, but I'm not sure maybe there are easier and faster ways. Try waiting for more answers ...
It is true! then there are two ways i have tried and they work without problems: (i started from stock, both eea and global).
Instructions unclear. I suppose this is to be flashed in twrp. If I copy the file to storage, when I format data, everything gets deleted. If I try to transfer the ROM to phone after format data, it doesn't copy anything, as it just shows a blank, unknown storage on PC.
- Unlock your bootloader here http://en.miui.com/unlock/
- Install TWRP via fastboot mode
- Reboot to recovery
- Format data (Only needed for first install)
- Flash rom
- Reboot to system
"Flash rom". How?
I'm facing the same problem, very frustating.
No, to switch from xiaomi.eu (stable or weekly) to stock do not use twrp, use the miflash program.
I haven't tried it, I preferred miflash to flash the stock because it's the official one.Thank you, I found several tools. For example : https://szaki.github.io/XiaomiADBFastbootTools/
It's just interesting ... I'll test it
I installed it yesterday, dirty flash on 12.5.14, at the first start I saw the search bar on the home screen (I don't remember if it was there before), There are October security patches and in battery > battery, the optimized charging function was added, then in the battery settings I noticed the scenarios option (I don't remember if there was even before) then everything else seems the same to me.
No need, you just have to unlock your bootloader, then boot into fastboot, connect the phone to your laptop/pc. then double click on the bat file to run the fastboot installation script in the rom zip file after you extract it. You can follow the full guide here:
