I know lot of us have been waiting for official MiUi 12 release (no record of bugs so far, will update this thread if this will be the case) :D
.
HOW TO INSTALL STEPS :
.
1- Check if you are in MiUi version 11.0.9.0 in setting -> about phone.
1.1- Download the corresponding file (link is below)
2- If yes, head to settings -> about phone -> update system.
3- Click on MiUi logo many times in rapid pattern until you unlock additional features.
4- Click on the three dots in upper right corner then select "choose update package"
5- Make sure the battery still have sufficient power for the update process, also be sure that you'll have no use for the device for the next few minutes (update installation period)
5- Select the downloaded file. and let the device do the rest (It highly advisable to avoid interfering while the device is updating itself)

You can also flash the whole MiUi 12 ROM in recovery menu without needing to be in version 11.0.9.0 :

Works great but as it is in beta stage so there are some minor bugs like privacy protection is not working and there is also some lagging issues in games and sometimes in system animations... But overall experience is great

You will know the global is stable if the eea had been released.
as long as the global has some bugs they will not release the eea.

global is for developers.

Concerning the lags in games and stuttering in system animations, that's probably related to device hardware capacities.

In Android world, there is no ROM with zero bugs especially for MiUi, as for the global version it is specifically just varied in regional settings and built-in apps compared to EEA.

Just got my update to 12.0.1.0 (stabile) via the MIUI system updater. My previous version was 11.0.8.0.

I don't advise using a Rom optimized for different phone model than yours. use it at your own risk.
Finally, i flash It and works great. I get the impression that the battery works even better

Can I flash Indonesian lancelot firmware in order to get miui dialer and contacts ?
I did it twice in the past and both times I had an issue with Google Play services. For some reason I couldn't use Google Play. Of course I made a clean installation of the indonesian rom with MiFlash. I bought my Redmi 9 here in Spain, so I guess my Redmi 9 is Galahad.
