Got Miui 13 OTA this morning. Looks and feels great, but battery life took a significant hit. I hope second charge will sort it out and get it back like it was on Miui 12.5.19

Sold this pathetic device off on Saturday. Terrible battery life with a bulbous feel in the hand. Only good thing were the speakers. Everything else mediocre. Even playing Archero caused the phone to heat-up. Camera is really over-rated as well. May god darn them youtube reviewers.

I have to agree the software and support is poor. I think they just have too many devices and variations on each device and not enough resources to test and ship bug free software. You have the likes of Google struggling to get bug free software with their new phones and they only have 2 variants of the same device (Pixel 6), and they are the writers of Android and even they struggle, so you can't expect anything amazing from Xiaomi.

Well just as a heads up. I ended up doing a factory reset on 13.0.1. The result several things got fired. The hideous blur effect got smooth, performance improved

Things that remain the same. Dark mode is still buggy per app dark mode still doesn't list the apps and the wallpaper load delay/flicker when unlocking the phone is still there.

Just received 13.0.2 same thing. Nothing changed only security patch.

My workaround for the wallpaper issue. Use a black wallpaper so you don't notice the transition from black to the actual wallpaper.

I'm still pondering around unlocking the bootloader and I guess I'll do it eventually. As for now after the factory reset MIUI 13 is usable.

Any fix for dark mode individual apps ?

I cannot access it anymore via any means, and this works perfectly.

3 weeks that I have this phone, I will compare it with my last xiaomi, a Poco F2 pro.

In terms of performance, speed, screen, nothing to say, it's really better than the Poco.

With a 5000mah battery for 11t pro the autonomy is less good than the Poco which has a 4700mah battery.
From what I could read the Snapdragon 888 consumes 65% more than the 865 and heats 12% more.
Xiaomi updates roms in Android 12 while bugs still exist in Android 11, the updates do not really bring real novelty but rather new bugs.

On my Poco with a stock rom and the battery charged at 100% it indicated 50 hours, in reality with my use it lasted 32 hours but we are far from it with the mi 11 t pro which indicates 26 hours battery at 100%.

The 120w super fast charge is practical, but the autonomy is reduced, whereas with a conventional charger, the autonomy increases for obvious temperature reasons.

I tried with an EU rom V12.5.10 at first everything is fine and little by little the autonomy is deteriorating, currently on an Indonesian stock rom V12.5.3 (call recording) the autonomy is less good than on the original rom V12.5.19 or the battery lasted 30 hours.

Note that the battery indications are inaccurate on some roms, a bug that Xiaomi has never corrected.

We just have to wait for Xiaomi to optimize this snapdragon 888 or that AOSP roms are coming..

Xiaomi with its lack of philosophy of stability, sells cheap smartphone with high hardware but as consequences, it brings low-tier their Android OS: MIUI.

Never trusted Xiaomi even if they ditched MIUI. Samsung still top-notch in longevity and stability despite more expensive.

Good morning, I'm honestly disappointed with my Poco M4 Pro too. I'm disappointed with the software but not with the hardware because I had the opportunity to configure an OPPO and the software is obviously similar but much better, fluid, without ads, you can uninstall all apps (except the system ones of course) which many Brends like Samsung don't allow it.

ITALIANO:

Hello people unfortunately I just updated to MIUI 13.0.1 on my 11t pro to find out that Xiaomi's promise of a good software are still not true. There are some problems that 12.5 had that are still present and there are new ones.

The problem that persist (in my case) are:

    - Dark mode per app selection doesn't work. It never lists the apps. (I had a workaround with MIUI 12. If I searched for dark mode on settings and selected "more dark mode..." it listed the apps, but it was removed or bugged with updates)

    NEW Problems:

    - Wallpaper flickers when unlocking the phone.
    - Beautiful blur effect on notification shade (take a look at the screenshots)
    - Both problems tested with system launcher and Nova 7.

Of course there might be more, but those are the ones I've noticed just after updating. The blur effect is the most annoying thing, maybe it's a problem with the video driver or something.

Just let me know if you're facing the same issues or if I'm the only one.

Someone suggested, with another problem I had, flashing the Rom or a clean install would be a good idea. But please guide me if you can. I'm not unlocked nor rooted.

That trick didn't work for me. Tried multi window thing but the app never got listed.

Of course I've already updated everything and in fact there was an update for the wallpaper app, but either way the problems are still there.

Can I downgrade to 12.5 enhanced?
Yep. If your bootloader is unlocked,
download your fastboot rom from https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/vili/
and flash it in fastboot, prolly better to wipe all data before doing this

BE SURE to back up your data

I use this app to back up my so it would be easy to recover my phone if i mess up anything

Thank you all for the comments and contribution.

Well as an update first of all I just found another big improvement xiaomi software engineers made to the UI clearly visible on the Spotify app (check the screenshot) all buttons are messed up.

Secondly, well I can without the per app dark mode option and as a workaround for the beautiful blur effect on the notification shade. I switched to the "old version" of the control center and on Developer options disabled "Allow window-level blurs" on the "Hardware accelerated rendering" section.

It's not a perfect solution, but in the meantime it makes the problem manageable.

Probably I'll unlock the bootloader and try some Roms, because waiting for an update and for xiaomi to fix this issue, probably my warranty will expire first so... flashing it is
    No problem :)
I use Spotify and have no problems, so try and clean reinstall

    - As for Dark Mode:

This and LSPosed (https://github.com/LSPosed/LSPosed) [You don't need to install Riru as Magisk 24.1 uses Zygisk instead of it] works perfectly, although it might not work as well as the native MIUI feature on some apps

If you can't force dark from the DarQ menu, try from the LSPosed menu

    Hope that helps you :)
