@NOSS8

Could you assist me here please?
I'm trying to update my old 11T pro from Global Stock ROM 13.0.4 to Xiaomi EU 13.0.6 via TWRP.
The phone is completely stock and formatted.
TWRP gives me error as below?
this version works without problems 😉

So I flashed the rom yesterday.
13.0.6 here, global, even though it was 13.0.15 with August security patch on my EEA stock rom, here it's Global with July patch.. Kind of disappointed. But I read global rom has more frequent updates than EEA. Let's see.
Everything went good with flashing recovery(6.2) and the rom (except I had to reboot the recovery a few times in order to flash the rom).

I noticed a few glitches or bugs here and there.
Like freezing twice after pressing the settings icon on the control center panel forcing me to hard reboot. Didn't happen since this morning though.
Calendar canceling consentement bug.
Blur in notification panel switch to control center sometimes doesn't work.
I don't see the notification when an app access the cam or mic (option to activate in privacy settings) like I had on my Samsung.
And some bad French translation. Surprising.

I can't tell the difference with stock rom as I didn't use the phone before installing xiaomi.eu. Just noticed there are Mi Apps and not Google ones (like phone and messages apps).

For the moment, I got 5h30 of SoT from 100% to 19% with nfc/gps/wifi/Bluetooth turned on, and 120Hz ofc, light theme. Which isn't epic great but still very decent and near my past S20FE5G.

Didn't notice any big heating issue or battery drain atm.

Unlike weekly rom (based on Chinese rom), stable rom release is longer to get and dependant on the official global release.

First installation, did you format the data?

Yep, as they suggested on official Xiaomi.eu post.
Unlocked, boot recovery, flash recovery, format data, reboot recovery (to recreate phone files structure), transfer rom, reboot to recovery a few times in a row 'coz of the Error 1, flashed rom.

OP should be updated btw @dlazycoder

Yeap, the first installation with the TWRP is sometimes capricious but for updates with OTA it goes well.
bug report(do a ADB logcat)

I'm on miui 13.0.4 eu rom. Want to switch to global rom as eu rom doesn't have ota updates support. Can't format data for updating everytime.

May please guide how to switch to official global rom?? Any method to do so without losing files on internal storage?

Thanks

These roms have OTA.
If you downgrade mandatory formatting.

So the MIUI 13 EU rom has MiSans set as the default font, and this font persists everywhere in the device, which is fine, so long as I can change it. Problem is, I can't. Supposedly turning off System-wide Variable Fonts in the Developer options should make all text in the phone Roboto again. But I think the devs overlooked something pretty big. This setting doesnt affect WebViews and browsers. It's always MiSans no matter which webpage you visit. And despite users having posted about this issue in the xiaomi eu forums many times, no one seems to give a damn. I should be able to use whatever font I want, especially since I have root access, but nope.

yeap, you can flash the stock rom on the Eu rom with the twrp, but by formatting the data before.
    or use MIflash

    Android 12 / MIUI 13

    I. READ ME FIRST!
    • Your bootloader should be unlocked
    • Installation via FASTBOOT (No TWRP version yet)
    • This will ERASE ALL YOUR DATA - do a BACKUP first!
    • May brick your device if you don't know what you are doing

I tried to flash with Mi flash tool but flash tool doesn't recognise my phone. But if I use fastboot command, it shows my device..

but I don't see an A12 rom in recovery just fastboot.
Ty. The update downloaded automatically on my phone and it's now asking me to update to MIUI13.

Also if you click on Download for V13.0.8.0.SKDEUXM (Fastboot) it gives you the option to download Recovery as well. It's weird how it doesn't show on the main page.

I dont get it. I live in EU and have Global version. Whats EU Global?
Unofficial ROM from xiaomi.eu is a hybrind. It uses China ROM as basic (latest and with more features), remove bloatware, change language, add google and some nice extra, but keep the miui style and there it is.
