Hello, I want to flash another or custom rom and this is my device:

Device: xiaomi redmi note 8 pro
Miui Global Stable 12.5.7.0 (RGGEUXM)
Android Version: 11 RP1A.200720.011
Model: M1906G7G
Baseband Version: MOLY.LR13.R1.TC8.SP.V2.P59
Kernel Version: 4.14.186-g7c18952d3c68
Bootloader: unlocked

I am a bit cautious because of a possible brick.
Which role plays the MiUi version und do I have to keep something in mind or follow any rules? Before flashing, after flashing, at all?

Choose suitable TWRP for your Miui version.
Backup IMEI (by script or zip file or by TWRP. Sometimes TWRP is not easy to restore) and keep it safe.
Then go ahead. Hardbrick for Begonia is easy to recover. So just enjoy yourself
