Thanks for the update.

What are you guys on stables or these weekly builds? I assume most/all of you are on the eu multilang versions. Thinking of chucking on the latest stable eu version at the weekend to hopefully get decent playstore downloads again. Depends how hung over I am on Sunday though

Latest build 5.12.3 breaks the stock alarm clock. When the alarm triggers you'll hear the sound but there is no interface. The alarm app doesn't launch meaning you don't get to snooze or dismiss the alarm. Only way to stop the alarm sound is to kill it via the task manager.

I have sMIUI(Its based on MiUI weekly builds AFAIK) and I have the same problem. I've read they fixed it in 12.4 but sMIUI havent made new ROM.

The Alarm Clock issue is fixed in 5.12.4 there is a new Xiaomi.EU build at androidfilehost from 6. december

I decided to give a go at this ROM for my mum as explained here: Direct Post Link

Still I see "Cheetah Mobile CleanMaster SDK" app installed.
To what is that needed? - I have a BAD experience from anything Cheeta and anything CleanMaster.
And not this on ONE app...
The Question: What would be the symptoms to remove "Cheetah Mobile CleanMaster SDK" with root completely?

There are a few other apps that I would also like to remove permanently like:
BlockList
Built in Calendars
Cleaner
Security
com.securitycore.muiu_t
Everything "Mi *" Basically...

Can I just remove these apps without any interference with the usability of the phone?
It's going to a non-techy person so... It has to be stable without sharing all data somewhere behind the grate wall..

You basically can remove almost all of the Mi apps + cleaner except Security(center) and MIUI SDK don't touch them or you get problems (not counting in com.securitycore.muiu_t, you can remove that)
There would be no problems except a few FC's here and there e.g. when trying to get into BlockList settings

Finding both very good. Have one minor bug that I've had for the last few ROM's.

If I try and save a page in chrome (an invoice) to my phone as a PDF by going print>save as PDF I just get an error message saying Documents has stopped working. But I do this so rarely its not the end of the world.

Wow! hope they get this working without locking bootloader as that would be a lot of troubled saved for me. As it seems ibuygou have sold me a returned phone and my phone has someone else's Mi account on it! So I'll never be able to unlock the bootloader
