dont know if this is the proper place for this post.
i was one of those who got caught for the download last week locking the bootloader. the download was enforced, i couldn't stop it and still dont know how i could have. this week was the same. enforced update and this time it has royally screwed the phone! i know i am far from being any good with phones but after taking this update, the keypad wasn't available any more! with that and the bootloader locked, i didn't know what to do, so opted for the factory reset. it obviously didn't cure the bootloader issue but at least i got the keypad working. what i wanted to do was wipe the phone completely and install a rom of my choice that wouldn't lock the bootloader again, but i dont know how to achieve either of these tasks. more so, after a total wipe, how to go about getting a rom on the phone anyway? and just to add insult to injury, the MiPC Suite doesn't even recognise the phone!!
i sure would be grateful for some help guys, if possible. i've gone from having a phone which to me was very nice to use, to having the biggest piece of c**p going! all because of someone at the manufacturer deciding that the bootloader needed locking 'to protect customers'! yeah, right!!
