MIUI New Update TOuch buttons will not timeout

This is a noob question but I have not seen any answers to it yet.
I just flashed the new miui (11/1/11) on my samsung galaxy s2 at&t (i777) and all seems fine except for one detail: the touch buttons will not turn off for some reason. i checked everywhere but cant seem to fix it.

you know I wasnt paying attention to that .... until now...i would like to know this too?? i dont see a setting for it... i bet there is no way to kill it.. until maybe MIUI is official for us and not just a port? im just guessing...

and I bet that is where my battery drain is coming from.... battery has been better lately but still not as good as a touchwiz rom.... or even cyanogenmod...
