Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra
the problem is, after updating and installing the update, (using offline package), the device restarted. and it is REALLY SLOW, and seriously as slow as first windows ever released when you run it then get a cup of tea ready or have a delivery then come back to it until it is open. and then when it is open, and after lots of trials trying to get the password in and go to settings, you find the device is 12.5.4. right now i am trying to get the system rolled back to 12.5.4 without format.

i am trying to fastboot update 12.5.4 as an update to over right bad data and get the device running.

maybe if someone got an idea of to do it and save me sometime would be great.

It is a recovery update, you can't use fastboot method via miflash. You need to activate advanced options into updater app, then select "choose update package" to push manually the update. Do you have root?

Finally,

After 3 hours I was able to restore everything.

I wanted to flash 12.5.4 back as an update, and then tried to clean install 12.5.4 but 12.5.6 made many bad changes that restricted me from anything. I have locked bootloader and no root. So I was extremely limited.

What I've done was a factory reset that took 45 mins then I was able to finally locally update using updater 12.5.4 over the version I had (because I was stuck with reboot window with disabled update options. So I had no access to locally update). It took another 45mins to update and 30mins to reboot. Then finally everything is back to normal. Now I am 12.5.4 again

You then seem to have a different situation than me, I have bootloader unlocked and root, I forced pushed update package and everything went fine. If you have locked bootloader you must wait for the update to come through system updater

The enhanced version update will follow soon with the September security patch ! Sometime in October/November. Xiaomi sucks their software update policy is disastrous ! Regarding the MIUI 13.. will get it mid 2022 😂 Xiaomi is pushing us back to the iphone 👌
Actually I don't understand, in special features there is the option for memory extension which should be part of the enhanced MIUI, but there is no mention at all for it in the changelog

Seems like it is the enhanced version, this is what xiaomi reviews and update trackers says, even on telegram miui updates. even though it is not mentioned in the name, but seems legit.

how do you find it? any good compared to previous version?

MIUI Updates Tracker (Mi 11 Ultra / Mi 11 Pro / Ultra)

    jSIVrRy.png

    What is MIUI Updates Tracker?
An open-source project that automatically tracks Xiaomi MIUI ROM releases!
MIUI Updates Tracker is a sibling project of Xiaomi Firmware Updater. Actually, XFU depends on it for getting new updates and make firmware packages.

This thread will have MIUI updates of all regions (Global, EEA, India, China, etc), both stable and beta branches. The updates will be posted once it's detected and this first post will be also updated.

    RSS Feed
You can subscribe to this device MIUI updates using RSS feed we provide here.

    Downloads

You can get all MIUI updates always from the archival website:

    Mi 11 Ultra Global
    Mi 11 Ultra India
    Mi 11 Ultra Indonesia

    Frequently Asked Questions:
    - Why?
Because Xiaomi's official websites are too messy and not being updated regularly! You will spend a lot of time searching for a ROM on the official websites. You will also find the latest updates there, meanwhile, MIUI Updates Tracker has every single update of every device since 2014 organized and easy to access!

    - Are these official downloads?
Yes! We don't touch updates' files at all. Actually, all download links are from MIUI servers directly, we don't have enough space to mirror more than 25K ROM files.

    - How to update?
    • Recovery updates can be installed using the official updater app inside your device settings, but keep in mind that only stable updates can be installed like this. If the update is a stable beta you might not be able to install it. After downloading the MIUI update, whether the incremental or the full one, open the updater from settings then click the 3-dots menu and choose Install from a local file, then select the downloaded MIUI zip. If you can't see this option, click on MIUI logo in the updater several times till you see a message that tells you more features have been enabled.
    • Fastboot updates can be installed using MiFlash official tool, but you must unlock the bootloader of your device first. Here's a good guide about flashing the official updates: Flash official ROMs | XiaomiWiki.

    - Excuse me. What is stable beta?!
Basically, Xiaomi releases stable updates in gradual phases in which an update reaches some devices randomly but not all devices. Then, after some days if the update was stable enough they release it to everybody via OTA along with releasing fastboot package. In a nutshell, the update that doesn't have fastboot version is not a fully released stable update yet.

    - Can I flash an update of region X if I am using a version of region Y?
No, to switch regions you will have to unlock the bootloader and flash the fastboot ROM of the region you want to switch to.

    - Which devices do your project support?
All Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO devices including China-only devices.
Check the full devices list here.

We should be seeing MIUI 12.5 Enhanced coming very soon to the latest CN beta now that it's been officially announced today as part of Xiaomi's unveiling of their Mi Pad 5 and Mi Mix 4. I suspect the XIaomi.eu weekly ROM to receive it very soon too (potentially as early as next week?).

I take it global/EU will (once again) be lagging a lot behind CN.

    Source: https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/08/10/xiaomi-miui-12-5-enhanced-edition-miui-for-pad/

"In a nutshell, MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition does not introduce new features. Instead, it comes with four optimizations, namely Liquid Storage, Atomic Memory, Focus Calculation, and Intelligent Balance.
    • Liquid Storage

      • A self-developed solution for optimizing storage mechanism. Helps in retaining read and write performance over a long period of time.
    • Atomic Memory

      • A self-developed solution for optimizing memory management mechanism. Improves the performance of holding applications in memory.
    • Focus Calculation

      • A self-developed solution for optimizing processor scheduling. Helps is reducing CPU usage and power consumption.
    • Intelligent Balance

      • This solution intelligently allocates hardware performance as well as power consumption, and seeks a balance between the two.
MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition stable update will be rolled out to the first batch of the following 12 devices from August 13 in China.
    • Mi MIX 4
    • Mi 11 Ultra
    • Mi 11 Pro
    • Mi 11
    • Mi 10 Ultra
    • Mi 10 Pro
    • Mi 10S
    • Mi 10
    • Redmi K40
    • Redmi K40 Pro
    • Redmi K30S Ultra
    • Redmi K30 Pro
Xiaomi says that a detailed rollout plan for all the eligible devices will be shared shortly on Mi Community. Unfortunately, it’s not known whether this version of MIUI will make its way to global markets at the moment."
