12 hours ago I just tried my luck with the check for update and funny enough it found something xD , tried to search any feedback on it but could't find any, downloaded (1.9gb), started the update process and then waited for about 15-20 minutes in what seemed to be a bootloop, I force restarted and it went fine afterwards but scared me a bit.
happened to me too i almost got a heartattack.

it seems that activating the disable hardware overlay option is resolved at least for now ..

This annoying bug forced me to root , wipe MIUI and flash Pixel Experience ROM^^ It's unbelievable that xiaomi isn't able to fix that bug... It appears with the .6 Version and as you wrote it's still there in .8...
And I think when I'm 100% stock and unrooted, I don't want to play around in dev settings.
But with PE ROM I'm pretty happy. :) So my decision to leave MIUI wasn't false. Thank you for the information that this bug still exists!

@mecoromeo HI, thank you for the answer but when I said that is not scrollable I ment every direction, I'm a long time miui user, I know where the buttons are... The problem is on 11.0.8 and I was curious if everyone has this problem (everyone on miui 11.0.8)

Hello,
Today i activate that feature disable hadware overlays ( in developer options that some freinds montined it here and i get the worst battery ever , only 4 hour screen on from 100% charge to 12%.
Normally i get 7 to 9 hours.
But i am not sure about that, i want just share it with you.

Obesrvations with latest build. I just found that it can now read my 1tb external hdd with no formatting. From previous builds it always asked me to format it, but now on a whim, i tried connecting it and now it works

I can't understand why in 11.0.8 there are continuous lag, very slow scrolling, it happened also in the previous firmware, it doesn't change anything even changing kernel.
Is it possible that only happens to me ?!

Possibly. Mine is awesome. I only experienced lag a few times and that's when the phone gets really hot due to constant gaming or when I push connecting to the internet despite having bad reception. Other than that everything is great. I love the new firmware, I can even connect my External HDD without any prompts to format it (previous firmwares can't handle the 1tb hdd before, the last firmware was able to, but kept asking to format it). I'm just guessing but maybe they did something so it can read the current format of my hdd. And I don't experience any lags
