Backup first. Download the full Rom file. Put it in internal storage and also put there Magisk and DFE (IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE ENCRYPTED). Boot to TWRP, flash the 11.0.8 ROM. Wipe dalkiv and cache, then don't reboot. Click the home button (if you don't want to be encrypted, flash DFE) and flash magisk. If you did the steps properly you will be able to keep TWRP, be updated to latest version and you'd have root

if anyone want to update to latest Muiu v11.0.8.0 just go here. YES you can keep root and exposed too. I have updated successfully.
https://c.mi.com/thread-3086050-2-1.html
Use the Recovery ROM.

1. Boot into TWRP
2. Flash Recovery ROM
3. Wipe cache and dalvik cache after flashing
4. Flash FED (Force Encryption Disabler) zip file http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=38543197095308737431
" You may download the latest FED zip from here. I've hosted the latest version with Magisk 20.4, so you don't have to flash Magisk again (until a new Magisk comes out, ofcourse). So you can skip step 5 and 6 from the above instructions and wipe cache and dalvik cache after flashing this zip file. You may reboot back to recovery once just yo check if TWRP is still intact and then reboot to system from there."
5. Reboot back to recovery from the reboot menu in TWRP
6. Flash latest Magisk
7. Wipe cache and dalvik cache
8. Reboot system

Note that if your FED zip contains the latest Magisk 20.4, then you can skip that additional step of flashing Magisk, else follow these steps. This way you won't lose your root or custom recovery and can still update. Do NOT reboot to system before step 7 as the system will replace TWRP with stock recovery and encrypt your device.

Hi all!! I wanted to install the latest build but when I reboot to TWRP in order to make the backup I'm getting asked to enter the pass (which I never set) to decrypt the data.

I've been googleing but I don't find anything that can help so, this are my concerns :

1. If I do the backup this way, is the backup done properly? Meaning That if I later need to restore it, I would be able to do it without losing anything (I know that it doesn't backups data, I need to do that separately)
2. If I follow the steps above provided by darkem, would I have any issues?
3. If I replace TWRP with pitchblack, would that fix this issue?

Thanks!

Recently have updated to this latest patch, from the time the phone has updated with this version battery life is very poor also not able to charge the phone.

Default charger itself is not working and always my phone has to be in charger to switch it on. Could anyone pls help me in getting out of this issue.

Tried even factory reset then also seeing the same issue.

Note: My phone is using the default ROM and not rooted as well.

I flashed latest global miui and I'm missing the customisation of the QS tiles?! Is this been removed?
Same here!

I have flashed via twrp - have you also done this or via MiFlash-Tool?

Hi, check my screen capture, I don't have that button. The panel is not scrollable, it has only one page.
Same here!

Mille Grazie Wizard!

(While you answered with the perfect solution, I stumbled across this XDA-Thread from 2017 )
