MIUI 5.3.31 FULL ROM -install via recovery as shown in video above.

Boot the system. First boot takes time 3-5 mins so be patient.
wait until it boots.

reboot to recovery.

flash OTA update 5.4.1

Flash root or from attachments.

use thememanger zip from attachment (for english thememanager)

BUGS
data is stored on internal storage - use memfix zip from attachment to use external sd card)
camera sound cant be turned off - delete system/media/audio/ui/camera_click.ogg
some icons dont show picture (clock & weather) just use another theme -issue solved.

what error??? dk_richardp flashed and using.

aaayush_singh this is new rom. u need to flash it as new rom and OTA is only meant for this version only..

if u have partitioned 7 gb internal or any other than 4 or 1 gb
it might show error
has happened with me earlier.

Use your browser to download themes from the web, in the themes, select the rightmost circle, the one that looks like download icon, and then go to import from ad card option(that's written in English) and locate the downloaded theme, apply it and enjoy...

Led light is not on while charging...and 3 g option is only in 1st sim.

Change the preferred Sim for data usage to 2nd Sim, then you can enable 3g... Note that only one aim supports 3g network at a time(saves battery too).

Led light is only 'on' when battery is below 15% or above 90% (in my case)

Battery backup is normal, 7hours of SOT with constant WiFi usage, download in BG and web browsing....

avi sir plz post these 2 patches to Version ROM Series 005 - MIUI V6 - 6/3/15

the memory patch works very well on the previous rom , now default storage is sdcard

after applying the theme patch first display in english then automatically goes to chinese

most important thing of this patch is you can download any paid theme without mi account

i thinks there is G issue in this .. I m not able to connect to 3g network.. does any 1 else is facing the same.

@rohitsinghpu if ur using older version of MIUI u can directly flash these two patchs for memory and thememanager.

3g problem is still persisting
its not connecting to 3g for me just like in its previous rom,
further even after setting data connection to sim2 the option of Preferred Network doesnt show in sim2
incidently it disappears from sim1 settings too

Were you able to set 3g as preferred network?

If yes, go to settings, disable Sim 1, enable data, then re-enable Sim 1... You'll be able to use 3g data on Sim 2. (Tried and tested by me)

The process is long and tiring... But you haven't got any other choice...

Replace the modem.img file from stock update S005, go to recovery, wipe cache/dalvic and reboot

Replace directly using es explorer or any root browser.
Sim selection option while calling or messaging is provided by default, u don't have to do anything for that.

Rom is smooth, battery backup is nice, some minor bugs are there, hv a look on screenshots....
