My z1 is using stock 5.0.2 .270 version with root and recovery. Can I directly install MIUI v6 rom, or have to flash 4.4 firmware firstly.

Go to recovery do wipe all (factory reset), flashing zip rom... work for me,?

if stay aborted (unlocked) try flashing custom kernel 4.4... Reboot to recovery... Flashing rom..

If stay aborted ?
you must back to original kitkat frimeware ..

In miui official download, there are different version lb and ulb version. My z1(6903)ul bootloader, so i choosed it and directly flashed by xzdualrecovery after I choosing wipe for install a new rom. And my recovery changed to a Chinese version, then I flashed again the latest xzdualrecovery 2.8.20. Flashed a Customer kernel is not necessary.

Hello, I speak spanish but I'll leave this in english so everyone can read: For the sake of keeping this clean, it's better not to post here updates/changelog/etc. about updates. You can find there in miui forums, as long as the Z1 build is an upstream development.

Hello. I have rockz1L custom kernel installed on my phone. how will i be able to flash to the 4.4.4 kitkat? I dont know the process. Can u help guide me?

Just install this rom as normal with full wipe, take nandroid backup of rockz1 first in twrp, as after installing this rom philz cmw will be in Chinese. (rom has dual recovery )

Bugs for all third party MIUI V6:
1: Some themes will cause the crash of the Home. Just use the stock theme, it is beautiful
2: Video will FC
3:cannot loader phonebook from sim card
4:When you play the music without a cover, the whole page will be blank
5oes not support WSM framework.(For all MIUI V6)

I guess you have to install a kernel that support that feature, as far as MIUI gives the option to activate that. But it would be wise not to do that because of the huge battery drain.

So, absolutely loving MIUI v6, but finding that the audio volume level in with my headphones is SUPER LOW. I tried various apps, and I tried flashing http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2476498 the 4.4.4 .108 fix here, however no avail (probably because my firmware is .133.

I DID notice that the external speaker is louder now, but headphones are dreadfully quiet. Bit of a waste of my Sennheisers lol.

Anyone know of another fix for this, for my firmware?

I'd hate to have to flash a different rom. I'm usually a ROM flashaholic, but I settled on MIUI V6 and have no desire to go elsewhere, but it's killing me.


Side note: I also use V4A, if that counts for anything...Works fine.
