Oh, you were another guy.. :D :D I meant a completley other ROM and post.. But nice try to reply with my answer..
The Link int the first post is MIUI10 beta ROM, not MIUI9..

Yeah.. Logged in with my old MIUI account. Already unlocked my Mi6 1 year ago. According to the Unlock tool I need 720hours, because when you "paired" the device after 31. August it is 720hours now (before it was 360hours or sth).

BUT: How are shops be able to unlock and install "Fake ROMs" when you need to wait 15-30 days? That makes not so much sense..

Then I dont understand what you meant here:
"If you install latest China dev it updates you to MIUI10 China Dev ROM"

The Link int the first post is MIUI10 beta ROM, not MIUI9.. Or is there a newer update out there? Is that what you meant?
I installed MIUI9 China dev instead of the OP´s link and it updates to MIUI 10..

Although now xiaomi.eu is out there is no need for that.

I had to wait 15 for mine. You need unlocked bootloader for any other ROM: dev or Xiaomi.eu.

Yeah, the other user confused me.. I though you answered, but the answer was someone different who didnt know WHICH ROM I meant and wanted to look cool. So he replied with my answer (which didnt make any sense, because that was not the ROM I was talking about..)

Oh.. You were lucky with 15mins.. I could cry with 720hours..

I want Xiaomi.eu ROM for better PlayStore integration, getting rid of Bloatware and I want it in German (coming from Austria).

Could MIUI 10 Firmware can Activated the volte function for MI PAD 4 LTE?
Way to enable volte:
You can use VOLTE to make a call in the settings and click the total storage for three times to enter the config interface.
You can make a call by opening the configured VoLTE/video call/WLAN call option.
You also can install a dial-up APK, Make sure that your Telcom service provider has been opened VoLTE function.

Please help this,Tks

I think I'm super lucky - I applied for BL unlock years ago to fix a relative's Redmi Note 3. I haven't received my Mi Pad 4 yet, but when I go to the site and login, unlock takes me straight to the page so I appear to be already authorised. And ditto for when I run the unlock app, it allows me to proceed immediately after login.

FWIW from googling this is normal - you only need to wait 30 days once, then after that you can unlock straight away in future, though you're limited to one device per 30 days or something like that.

Its to stop people installing vendor ROMs and malware though it hasn't appeared to stop that at all LOL

When I unlocked my mi5s two years ago I had to wait a coupe of days or so but I still had to wait 15 days for the mi pad 4 unlocking.
However there were rumours Xiaomi were going to start reducing waiting time for unlocks as there was a general unrest about such lengthy waiting times. Or maybe you are just super lucky.

how do you know you have to wait? (I don't have the unit yet). When I go online, it lets me through immediately (to download the unlock tool), and when I put my login in the unlock tool, it goes to the next step immediately (except greyed out because I don't have anything connected lol).

EDIT - SH-T just reading other people's posts apparently the warning comes up AFTER you connect device LOL and may be 72 or 360 hours. Damn. Oh well I've already paid for it, I guess it won't kill me and at worst I'll have to use the official china ROM + google play install.

@wintermute000 you will have to wait 720hours ;) My mi account is over 1 year old, because I have already a Mi6 and unlocked it 1 year ago. Back then, waiting time was 36 or 72hours. And what I read about is, when you PAIR a new xiaomi device AFTER 31. August, it is 720hours and the old by-pass method will not work anymore..

Which is a rather stupid decision from Xiaomi. I understand, that they closed the bypass method (you needed 2 accounts for that and 2 special unlock tool-versions), so that re-seller dont install any strange ROMs.. But closing the bypass method and instead of 360hours you have to wait 720hours is just stupid..

I only have to wait 673hours.. :(

Yeah that's what it appears from further research, unless I get lucky and get a device made before a certain date (around June). Anything after this date is apparently 720 hours (?!??!). The 72 hours vs 360 hours vs 720 hours thing is apparently just down to manufacturing date, not even device model.

Maybe the shop already installed a shop/fake-ROM. Therefore he needs to open the BL... SO everyone who gets a fake-shop ROM version has it better, because the BL is already opened..
