thanks so much for your help. With this site a complete novice can do some pretty impressive stuff with all the help from the pros. You guys are great. I took the OTA like a goof thinking i could downgrade like i did from the Beans MJ9. and ran into a mess. new build of N3bula is out. i gotta have it.

I will be testing a downgrade method as soon as I either get the balls to do it on my main phone or get someone to donate me a busted note.. and no problem man I love helping people with this kinda stuff

So i downloaded the rom and tried to creat the ROM slot. it said free space available was zero. do i have to have at lease 4 gigs of free on board storage available? I have 3.6 gb of on board storage available.

Isnt that how you install the new rom? Or do you just overwrite the stock rom?

Well I just tried to create a rom slot. It says I have 0 space left when I know I have over 5 gigs free. Well I just read the op. He said that it doesn't work right now. Just flash over stock

Hah damn. Knew it would happen. I did factory reset and tried to install. And it failed. Unable to mount. Any suggestions? It said ROM slot in green on top. I tried activate the stock ROM. But nothing happened when o pressed activate.

Nothing will. just reboot and it will boot stock rom. Or just flash over stock

Thats not what im understanding is flashing over stock. I could not make the stock ROM the selected on top so how am i supposed to flash over it . I just bricked my phone due to the factory reset. i know how to fix that no biggie. but im going to have to try again.

Oh. Just boot into safestrap and ignore the rom slot section. Put the zip on your external sd and flash away

Please take convo to general thread or tutorial on how to flash with SS because alot has been answered there.

Also I didnt say just remove boot.img because I triwd that on a rom with aroma and it checked for boot.img when it didnt find it it would fail to flash. Just wantef to give yall all the info.

Also, no rom slots arent working yet which is why SS is in alpha stage this is really only for people who hate stock and want to flash over it or people who want to help me debug and post logs/findings(none yet lol)

Nvm I see now on the update that it passed so we can use rom slots. One thing I didnt read yet is do we still have to remove the boot.img to use get a rom to boot on the note 2?

Why can't I mount my internal partition?
