mk2000 BTTF kernel question - v20 - verizon vs996santa

hey i have a v20 and i am running the mk2000 bttf-oc kernel

im on android nougat.

i wanted to see if i could upgrade to this kernel:

US996Santa_BTTF-BETA2-mk2000

the link to this is on the kernel development page, i dont have enough posts to link the url apparently, im sorry.

but every time i try to upgrade to that kernel or even the 995one or the 996 one or anything, i get an "error2"

i saw in the other thread people were posting this, but i never saw an answer.

i figured this was the newest kernel for this device.

can anyone help me out here please?

I don't think that error was ever fixed, at least for my LS997 (I guess you already saw the last few posts on that kernel thread before it closed), so I just stuck to the previous working version.
Also, I'm assuming your V20 model is either a US996 UCL or US996 BPT and you didn't accidentally pick the kernel for the wrong model.

You could try to unzip and take the *image from the one you want and put it in the one you were using that installed.

*Image.lz4-dtb


edit: I'm assuming the update is the actual kernel rather than the ramdisk
