By the far the most complicated and elegant method I've ever seen to get it installed.Or ahead with Burgerhunter at least.

Kudos

PS

Did you use Stock 8.1 as per recommendation, or didn't you format data, by any chance?

Someone did mention a similar problem, but I must installed and flashed the whole shebang over 6 times by now and had never a problem.. :/

The only rom that is not fully compatible with Nethunter is Lineage with the Privacy thing.
This is the only explanation that I have for now.

Here a brand new one with kernel in the installer implemented

It looks like the Mega link is dead again. Any chance you could upload a new link? Greatly appreciated!

My apologies. I didn't catch that PS before. I actually did not use the stock rom as my 5X was caught in a boot loop of death. I found a BLOD patch on this forum and I installed.. Lineage. I guess that explains the issues I had ;) I hadn't noticed the compatibility issues.

It was a good experience at least, and it's still working without issue today.

Here you got the kernel separately

https://bit.ly/2zEsjMV

And here the whole shebang

Freshly juiced Installer&chroot&with the according kernel already implemented

https://bit.ly/2ZBZGOI

I wanted to add sth.,but I do this later this day

Have fun :)

Addendum

Because some people were so hilarious in trying of hacking my Mega.nz account, which isn't that hard, but also tried to lure me with some script-kiddie-sh*t, I just wanted to notify you guys first

I have a separate Router, which firmware I compiled myself, as VPN and another one which operates as Firewall.

And this is just the "entrèes" what shields my private network.

I am not a world class hacker or something in this section, but other people which Distributions you use and I know on a friendly basis, aren't that humours or inhibited to 'analyze' somebody's dream diary and afterwards zero it from this planet out.

I didn't consider encrypting just one file and will for sure not begin with this additional workload.

So it's you choice.

Just as reminder - I don't own this device anymore and do this purely out of the goodness of my heart. ;/

Should I just use the 5x Oreo 2020.1 build of Nethunter now? On Android 8 .1

It is by now the officially maintained version, so yeah. ;)

Format and wipe your previous setup, flash the latest stock rom, which you find here - > https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/bullhead-opm7.181205.001-factory-5f189d84.zip?hl=es

Afterward the latest Twrp version for the 5x > https://twrp.me/
Root the device with the tool you prefer (Magisk, SuperSU) > https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases.
Walk through the setup wizard and when you done the new Kali Nethunter installer (https://images.offensive-security.com/nethunter/nethunter-bullhead-oreo-kalifs-full-2020.1.zip) from Offensive's site and you are golden(hopefully).

Gl! :)

edit. In regard of the build date of the kernel, can I not assure you that this is im fact the "new" one from Re4son.

So, if you cannot use external Wlan devices with the newer AC capable chipsets (RTL8811AU, RTL8812AU, RTL8814AU..), can you flash the above linked kernel, which is the newest version.
