HiI've requested source from Samsung. T815XXU2BPD6
My evil plan is, If one of you could upload a system.img in TWRP I could work on that. Then when source posts, I can build kernels for all variants.
I think I can build kernels for all of us using an LTE source. It SHOULD contain everything we need for the WIFI variants. And we would all be on MM 6.0.1. Instead of our current 5.0.2 and 5.1.1.
If nothing else, at least I'm giving it a try to bring the ROM and kernels for all the S2's. Let's hope.
Edit: Interesting thing is.... Source is the same for the 710/810. They posted both together now. Hmmm...
I've gotten both already. But ThanksHi
Here you can find source code for T815 MM T815XXU2BPD6
http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=sub&sub=F&searchValue=t815
And here is full odin flashable rom :

Hope it helps and you can build us a permissive kernel![]()
I was able to extract the entire system folder from the T815 MM ROM if that is any help.I've gotten both already. But Thanks
The kernel is setup on git. But I still need to make sure I can clone it. Samsung makes mistakes I need to fix, usually. Then I'll get working on it.
As for the Rom, I'm still looking for someone with MM to upload the system.img.
I haven't spent a lot of time yet. But I still can't get it to flash using the .tar. But I am working on it.
Again, my time lately has been limited. I get an hour here, an hour there. But that's not much time when working with Android. Just the build takes about 10-15 minutes.
And, I'm setting up a new distro. So I keep finding things I need to add to it to build.
If your /system/bin folder looks like the one on the left, it won't work.I was able to extract the entire system folder from the T815 MM ROM if that is any help.
Thats amazing newsThe kernel is setup on git. But I still need to make sure I can clone it. Samsung makes mistakes I need to fix, usually. Then I'll get working on it.
I can use that. But, TWRP has an option now to make a system.img. Just scroll further down in "Backup".Just checked system.ext4.win000 and system.ext4.win001 and files inside system/bin has symlink not the actual files
So make an image system backup with TWRP and it create a system_image.emmc.win
But cant open it when change it to system_image.emmc.win.tar or system_image.emmc.win.img
so I can check inside the archive
I'm trying to make the system image backup from twrp (the lower option), its 3 Gb and it wont open....I can use that. But, TWRP has an option now to make a system.img. Just scroll further down in "Backup".
Edit. If I remember right, it'll be about 1.9 Gigs when zipped/tar.

If your making it in TWRP, you don't need to open it. It'll be fine. TWRP makes all the links/permissions from the tab.I'm trying to make the system image backup from twrp (the lower option), its 3 Gb and it wont open....![]()
weird, file is 3.1 Gb and it cant be opened from sd cardThe "System" option is the standard tar backup. The "System Image" option is only relevant if your system is unmodified. This allows you to make a fully stock backup that can be restored later to take an OTA.
NOTE: If you are using a FAT32-formatted card, a "System Image" backup will fail, due to the 4GB file limit on that format. For a successful System Image backup, NTFS or exFAT-formatted storage must be used (either SD card or USB-OTG)
Just ignore all that. And you don't need to factory reset. (Hopefully I caught you in time.)Problem was mentioned here:

weird, file is 3.1 Gb and it cant be opened from sd card
So I will take a nandroid backup, reset factory and make a system.img backup so it be smaller then will try to upload it
lol ...Just ignore all that. And you don't need to factory reset. (Hopefully I caught you in time.)
Just backup system img in TWRP and I can go from there. I've used it already so I know it'll work.
The size won't change no matter how many apps you install. It only backs up system. So the only way it would/could change is if you're writing to system. No personal data will get put there either.

Just saw your pic from earlier post. You've installed xposed. That could make things interesting. Hopefully the factory reset cleared it out.lol ...
Too late, factory reset and backed up ... (same size)
But compressed it to 1.1 Gb and uploading,
My internet is not so good so it will take some time.
Will send you link as soon as it finish
Is there anything I can do to help? I have the T-Mobile variant and a great internet connectionJust saw your pic from earlier post. You've installed xposed. That could make things interesting. Hopefully the factory reset cleared it out.
