mmc and nvrams Question ( noobs friendly pls )

Hi all, i have some problems regarding mmc and nvrams,
1. does mmc and nvrams the same ?
2. Im trying to backup imei and nvrams , but for several reasons, i cannot root it
Could we back up imei and nvrams ( using mtk tools ) without root ?
-if YES then how ?
3. if i buy new nvrams for my android phone, for replacement purpose should I back it up using old phone or not ? thx

and is it true that 90% of the processor will be broken due to overheating, if we replace the nvrams ? thx
