Mobile APN Network on SIM Card

I'm really getting tired of having to reprogram my data connection settings for my cell phone service. Is there a way put this on the simcard similiar to like putting contacts on it.

It is technically possible, but the phone would have to be programed to read and use the settings written on the SIM card. I doubt very many phone operating systems are set up that way.

I'm just getting tired of having to enter all the info each time I flash a new rom. Getting a lil have about it I guess.

If you have a sim free vanilla ROM the when you put a new sim in it automatically sets up APN, MMS etc. One of the number of advantages

Since I have the slide I guess all the roms, atleast all the ones I tried, aren't vanilla.
