Mobile Hotspot blocking...

I just got this message from T-Mobile:

Not sure if my Hotspot was meant to be blocked, but it's still working. I guess T-Mobile is slowly learning about those APN settings, or something.

Your take?

Yeah I called T-Mobile yesterday and was talking about the 5gb data with tether. They said that the engineers are working on blocking the loop holes that allow tether.

They are closing in on this loop hole, a lot of users have gotten theirs blocked and even with this it's still not working anymore.

You're probably not one of those that eat up a lot of data via tethering, from what I've been reading it's the ones that use tethering a lot for stuff like pc's, movies and gaming are the ones they started shutting down on.

Well exactly why you have no restrictions, these users are the ones with 2GB plans.

Clockwork Tether. $5 and no root required.
Call and ask for preferred android. It's $20 but gives you 5GB.

If changing the apn doesn't work, use https sites, they can only detect http sites.
