I see I'm not alone with wanting to change the dpi in apps.
Tried fooling around with SecPhone.apk in apktool (installed both framework-res.apk and twframework-res.apk), but I don't seem to get it recompiling, decompiling runs fine though. Anybody know any obvious reasons for that?

btw guys will be adding the 320 DPI dialer in few mins... as of now it looks perfect only at 320 DPI since i have made some changes manually to retain the feel of 320 dpi and yet scaled correctly

multi dpi support will be added later

What lcd_density you set by default? 320 ?

I use 360 but e.g AccuWeather doest not look good at this resolution (showing half of screen vertticaly only)

Bala here is my AT&T SecContacts.apk

stock rooted, .odex

No issue, download the above mod and follow the steps below
1.extraxt the zip from past 3
2.you will have a folder called SecContacts.apk inside mode/system.
3.now open your contacts apk and copy the contents of the folder mentioned in step above.
4.make a backup before proceeding

I usually browse my .apk files with winzip. Can I just drag and drop the necessary files using winzip?

Your existing apk is auto backed to mode backup folder in sdcard. You can use that, once I make the mods multi dpi compatible you can use it with any dpi.

Bala,

I tried as you suggested using winzip and then pushed my .apk to /system/app. It FC when I try to open contacts. I just drag and dropped the .xml files into my apk and tried both store and normal options in winzip. What other ways are there to do this?

Thank you so much Bala... using a 1080p 5inch screen without lower dpi feels like kindergarden mode... phone and lockscreen working great.... awaiting camera... the galary is a little off aswell dont really care about the task manager..

Great to see multi DPI Support thanks for your work on this. I have a quick question... anyone know if we can have more icons on the bottom of the launcher (Atm it is Phone Contacts Messaging Internet Apps) Also these are locked and cannot be moved on my stock rom. is this a build.prop change also ? Thanks!
