So there are conflicting opinions here, does this or does this not work with the latest official leak?

It works, looks great too
the virtuous mod is based off the deodexed OTA, it should work on any sense based 2.2 deodexed rom

This definitely works great with the Virtuous mod.

Any way to combine this with a transparent notification window?

Nevermind, I was able to do it myself... this includes the transparent notification window. The item background is still white, but it's a little sleeker now.

anyone know why this mod makes these white lines around the top border in both gmail and gtalk? Just about every mod has this problem except for skyraider (because he did something to fix it obviously). but I get this bug whenever i use this mod on both stock and virtuous mod.

*Update 8/10*
For those who mix their own mods, here are the files you should copy into your mod for just the Smooth Circle Battery:
  • framework-res.apk/res/drawable/stat_sys_battery.xml
  • framework-res.apk/res/drawable/stat_sys_battery_charge.xml
  • framework-res.apk/res/drawable/zzz_stat_sys_battery_1.xml
  • framework-res.apk/res/drawable/battery_charge_fill.xml
  • framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi-v4/stat_sys_battery_0.png (0 through 100)
  • framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi-v4/stat_sys_battery_charge_anim0.png (0 through 33)
  • framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi-v4/stat_sys_battery_unknown.png
That should be all of them, I think...
If I pull those out will it work on Ruby?

No need to fuss around anymore. Try out this great tool -- worked for me to add the smooth battery into my own pre-existing framework theme.

http://circle.glx.nl/
on second thought, whatever I flashed makes the battery indicator stick on 100%.

* EDIT *

Sorry for the confusion, i thought the round circle had 1% intervals, this one actually does 10% intervals.

Im going to try the more stock battery approach with 1% intervals: http://j.mp/9NtPD3

I should have taken more time responding to make clear that the online tool isn't mine, I only thought it deserved to be re-shared.

All credit goes to the responsible parties - I'm just another user of the great things this community puts together!
