Hi all this is my first post in the development section so go easy on me. But if you didnt already know about the Acid Mod it basically all the audio mods you can get for any android phone and puts them all together to make your music come alive.
These include;
-Beats audio
-Bravia engine (Xloud and clearbass)
-SRS
-Dolby .etc.

Heres the link to the original post so all credit goes to them for creating this Mod;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1923630

I can confirm that its working on omega v8.0 using the sony wakman music player which ill include in this post as some people cant seem to find a copy that works? Ill also include the version of the Acid Mod that im using as its made for samsung phones only.

To install you;
-flash the Acid .zip via CWM and after instalation do a dalvik cache wipe.
-Fix permission in recovery otherwise it wont work. It'll pop up after you reboot the device so its simple.
-Install the walkman .apk
-Enjoy.

Hope this all works out well for you all as ive noticed a big difference already and im currently using stock samsung headphones. But anyway enjoy your music and if so hit the thanks button :good:

This may be a stupid question... but does this package include all those mods? How do I switch between the different mods? Thanks in advance...

They will all be enabled at once. Unlike awsome beats you dont have any customisation in terms of settings but it sounds great without changing anything so id leave it that way.

what do i have to do exactly?

tnks
Its easier than it sounds.
When you flash the .zip file, and wipe dalvik cache you reboot the device as normal and during the reboot at the beggining a CWM question will pop asking something ( I cant remember what it said ) But you just confirm what its says and it will be done and will load up the rom.
Hope this helps.

Trying to get it running on Android Revolution HD 6.0 with Perseus 29.1 Kernel. Doing fresh install right now.

I'll post back when I know more.

Update: Seems like its working.. but I think sTweaks is overruling in some kind of way.. Still a very nice result on my Bowers&Wilkins C5's

Running omega 8 and none of the beats settings seems to do anything.

Best option to do is just leave it as it is when you first flashed it. Thats what i have done too. The sound is better with my samsungs headphones

I forgot to fix permission

than i've installed walkman apk

This one is working fine, I can't see any of the other mods

How to fix???

THX
It should look like that anyway. After installation you should have to 2 apps instslled 1. Acid Mod 2. Dolby Mobile. All the other mods are built into the acid application to save cluttering up your app drawer.

Thanks for this. Ive been curious about trying this acid mod. Ive had omega 9.1 with the perseus kernel for a week with a good eq setting I made for very clear sound and a touch extra bass as I have some ok sony headphones (and sony headphones have a tendency to be a little bit more on the bassy side).

This eq setting is a good allrounder and works just nicely for the majority of genres I listen to. All my files are in apple lossless format and I use poweramp with a completely flat eq for neutrality with stweaks, no extra audio settings active and direct volume control unticked in audio settings - advanced tweaks and its been great for me so far.

However, as mentioned im still curious...

So what I would like to find out is about any possible conflict between stweaks and this acid mod, for instance as you said having the "eargasm" preset active in stweaks and something else active in the mod. I have already found that if you have a preset active in stweaks and you jump in poweramp and start messing with the eq sliders or adding extra bass or tone etc it completely pisses on the chips.

I also dont quite understand - what - this mod actually is. Is it one of those music mods you flash and rely on a sudden placebo effect and try to convince yourself something has actually changed? Or is it a bunch of apk's that appear after install that you mess with? Or is it just a single apk full of neat settings that make a noticeable difference to the sound? Lastly, the op mentioned it works great with n7 player, so also "A" ok with poweramp? (I don't think n7 plays well with apple lossless?)

Im asking this because ive followed and read a couple of the relevant posts and it seems pretty much everyone gets mixed results! Some flash it and nothing appears, or half of the apk's appear, some notice "a difference" in sound and some dont and also some have lost their sound altogether.

It seems like this one only has an acid mod app and a dolby app, no nooz app or ultimate beats app or anything else? So is this down to an incomplete install, a bug, or something else?

Everytime I come across an acid audio mod post it seems whats included in one is radically different to the other!

In my understanding it seems stweaks directly gives you control to the wolfson dac we are lucky to have in our note 2's as its a kernel specific app. So with this way of thinking how it works, isnt adding anything extra to mod the sound "placing it on top" of whatever preset / audio settings you currently run in stweaks?

Thanks for reading and could someone kindly upload a few screenshots of this mod. I really aint pulling it to piece's here, im a little skeptical and curious to get to know what its all about.

Very last thing...

The original acid mod comes with a secondary addon of your choice from either "ultimate beats" or the "Noozxoide" (which I played around with when I was originally on stock, nice settings etc, etc) so which does this one come with? If its the nooz how can you add it as the primary sound effect as the setting seems to have disappeared in 4.1.2 settings - sound - sound effect

I know this post has quite a few questions, so theres no rush to reply. However, any - helpful - input would be great!

Is it not counter productive to use this with Perseus, since Perseus has ScoobyDoo sound?
Also does perseus really have scoobydoo sound? There is stweaks and I thought scoobydoo is with the redpill kernel.

Ive also been trying to find out what scoobydoo sound actually is? Is it an extra setting in stweaks? Or an app? Or another flashable cwm zip that carries a placebo effect?

Best option is to activate the persus eargasm preset, and about the player! dont use amp player it sucks! and i recommend you flashing FrankenBeats v2.0 its way better and also it comes with cm9 music player and dsp manager so you can just adjust what you need to get the best sound! and try to uninstall the default music player that comes with the stock ROM !! this is how i do . so hope that i have helped you a little bit!!

here is some of what i have you can see that i dont have the stock music player! and its the frankenbeats mod
