I know I was just teasing you :D

I mainly use the default samsung keyboard, mainly because of the separate number row. I hate swype so I like to turn the notification off...

I removed swype from my ROM. I gave it a shot a while back, and other than texting while driving (which I try not to do anyways) it really didn't help me much.

But I use Swiftkey. It even has "flow" which is like swype, so I can turn it on "on the fly"

It's all I need. The only thing I wish I could do with it is have a button to press to get the arrow keys to show up for a minute... sometimes the arrow keys are nice to have for those "touch unfriendly" apps.

Samsung's default keyboard has both the best layout and worst autocorrection I've encountered.

I agree to an extent. If you use the "flow" feature it actually predicts pretty well. And it learns from commonly typed words. You are right if you are just using the keyboard normally by just pressing the buttons, the prediction is horrible. when it does predict the right word it doesn't put it in the text box, you have to click on it above the keyboard. If that makes any sense. ..

Just noticed this thread. I will Odex this soon. I will also join the hotspot with it because right now you can only have one or the other unless you use a Rom that includes them both.
so what do we do if we already have the hotspot mod?

can we flash this and it will be ok, or do i have to start from scratch again?

It has the hotspot built in so you are good by just flashing this.

I'm asking because of what you said below, so I can just flash this and my hotspot mod will be intact, in addition to disable input notification mod?

also, we can't run both individually? Not like there is even an option to do so since it already comes with the hotspot mod.....im asking more for educational purposes..thanks

That is correct. The post you quoted was before I looked at the contents. Once I looked into it I saw the hotspot was already included. You can check the op for verification.

Hmmm. I didn't look at MF9. I just Odexed it. I can look at it tomorrow to see if it was left out by mistake.

You can install the hotspot mod again if you want that back.

Right it definitely was built in on MDL but maybe it got left out of MF9 on accident. I don't use this mod myself so I can't verify it. But I will check into it in the morning. For now install the hotspot mod again to get it working.

Thanks..please update when it is fixed so I can get rid of the redundant HotSpot Mod only file and just use this for both the hotspot and no input method notification

also, if this didn't have the hotspot mod, why did it go away? can you explain that for education please?

and if I flash the hotspot mod only, will this input notification mod go away?

If it doesn't have the hotspot it was just overlooked. If you flash the hotspot mod it will replace the input mod.

yep..just flashed the hotspot mod only and now this input mod is gone....

can you explain why we can't have both unless it's built into one mod?

It's because they use the same file, services.jar. Since it is the same file you have to combine the mods together to be able to use them at the same time.

interesting....

1. what about the no volume warning MOD? if i do that, will it mess up the other mods? or is it only the no input notification mod and the hotspot mod together? If so, can you combine all 3 (hotspot, no volume warning, and no input notification) into one?

2. If i'm doing a clean installing flashing a rom, can I flash these mods back to back or do I have to restart each time using TWRP?

Volume mod uses a different file, framework.jar. So that is ok. You can flash them back to back.

easley, sc
Is there a way to add the input notification back? I like to quickly switch between SwiftKey and my emoji keyboard. Thanks in advance!
