[MOD] AOSP Keyboard 4.2.2 - black theme

Hi there,

I've modded the standard 4.2.2 keyboard to my needs. All props go to arman68, who has ported this package to x86, see here for the original:

I've changed some things:
- all keys themed black, letters in lightest grey (white was too much contrast)
- letters normal font weight instead of bold
- trail popup changed to transparent blue background, as black on black was hardly visible
- popup time changed from 400ms to 250ms (I am a fast typer)
- added a personal smiley layout for the "V" key, as I need them. Unfortunately I haven't found out how to mod the "enter" key for that as in some other mods, help is apprechiated (the "V" key is my workaround for that)

Same as arman68's keyboard, just flash in CWM and enjoy!

CWM does not work there, must be installed manually.

thanks, music player is just what i am looking for. As for the calender i'll stay with an inverted one i have installed. Did you mention once that the white JB contacts app could not be inverted?

Here you find an all in one pack of Shaftenbergs Mods (i guess meanwhile i should call it Shaftenberg.zip ), including the basic inverted GApps.

Sure it's possible. Basic editing of the styles.xml in contacts.apk, but changing graphics freak me out. Maybe another one likes to...
(And yes, I really like the light theme of contacts and calendar)

My AOSP keyboard is either buggy or I can't use right. Swyping doesn't work for me. I can see the gesture trace but it results in nothing. Don't even get a single character. All functions correctly when I use it traditional way.

I've just tried to flash yours but I can't. I get a message that installation is failed and that's it. Downloaded and flashed it twice with the same result. My recovery is TWRP 2.5.0.0. Other significant details in my signature. It's up to date ATM.

Do you have an idea what might be the reason?

This one here is ported for the X86 architecture, so you can't flash it on an Arm Device. We get the same Error, when we try to flash any usual Mods like AC!D or similar.

It's not giving desired results. It seems there's no AOSP keyboard ported to my device in black version.

Thank you. Unfortunately both don't work for me. Tried installing them, copied to system/app, clearing cache/dalvik, fixing permissions.

While it probably is ROM related I guess I'll continue my searches in it's thread.

requesting apk for easy install

tried replacing latinme.apk on system/app still not working. replacing res image also doesnt work. use winrar to rename apk to zip, then replacing files. can you compile it to .apk so that its easy to install?

Didn't work for me 4.2.2 cm10.1.3 flashed zip got error status 255, tried moving to system apps also. No luck
