Hello,
Can someone please help me? I have a KLD2 head unit (RK3188) - stock firmware that is rooted. There are no other mods.
Anyways, I have always had an issue with my GPS. When listening to music at the same time as using the GPS, the music never mutes (or lowers the volume). I listen to the radio or MP3 (either with the stock MTC Music Player or PowerAmp). When I use regular voice files in the GPS (iGO Primo), the music mutes when the GPS speaks. This is 100% correct. But when I use TTS voices in the GPS, the music does not mute when the GPS speaks. Instead they both play at the same time. This is not how it should work. I have tried everything I can get my hands on.
Interestingly enough, when I use Google Maps as a test - the head unit acts 100% correct. Keep in mind that Google Maps uses only TTS voices, yet there are no issues with music playing at the same time. I also installed the same iGO Primo files on my phone and it too works 100% correct as well. So why does it not work correctly on my head unit? This is so frustrating!!!
I believe that there is some type of issue with the MTC side of the head unit when TTS voices are use for the GPS in iGO. I thought it might be because it is installed on the GPS slot. However, when I installed it to the internal memory it acted in the same way as well.
Does anyone of you know what might be causing this issue? Are there modified MTC apps that can resolve this? At this point I don't know if its an iGO problem, a TTS Pro voice problem, a MTC app problem, or an audio stream issue that is causing this issue?
Any help is greatly appreciated. I have tried everything I can get my hands on. I'm sure there is something out there that I am missing. Do not hesitate to Private Massage me if you feel that would be better.
BTW - I installed the newer MTC Music Player from this thread, but it does the same thing. However, I noticed that when listening to the radio, the TTS voice is much lower than if I listen to MP3 on the music player.

The song name is not shown.
As far as I understand The Music apps talk to the CANBUS app and then the CANBUS app sends this info to the steering wheel display.
Would it be possible to modify music app so that it sends song name together with the track number ?

Hello. I'm working for that. But not for MTCB. I bought MTCD and now I'm working only on MTCD.
Only some informations. MTCD device working better than MTCB. AF now works very well. The sound of MTCD is more clean.
Now I'm already working to solve a little problem on MTCD as radio text (rds) on radio. Today I solved the problem. If you want I can post new app.

please apply the USA fix to the radio app as well like what we did for mtcB radio...
Do you know if mtcD apps work on mtcB head units?
the Android 5 is out for mtcB now so I am hoping the apps can be used for both mtcB and mtcD lollipop.

Hello. We have verified that MTCRadio for mtcB doesn't works on mtcD. But MTCMusic works fine. So, steering wheel controls don't work with MTCMusic for mtcB on mtcD.

the 8" car specific models do not have mtcD upgrade available yet, so many people still have to wait and live with the old mtcB hardware.Eh...my friend...you can sell mtcB and buy mtcD

Hi, can anybody give me help, I've been using a Malaysk ROM RK3066 MTCB and it's a trully great ROM ever.
But I had a few basic question on how to operate my HU. (Sorry for this noob question)
1. How to eject cd/dvd from hu ? Been trying to push any button on HU but still no luck.
2. How to using video out 1/2 ? 'cause i need it to view on our headrest monitor.
3. Usually, when the lights come on, the HU button will also turn on, but since i upgrade, it never turn on again.

Make sure theyre in a compatible format, install another movie player that plays the format they are oin if not.
No, dont know what unit you have but its not MTCB/C.
