I think the most needed for the camera is to disable or turn-down the oversharpening happening in i-auto, and to turn-down the noise-reduction.

But I'm afraid the noise-reduction is done in the image-processor and not really controlled by the camera app . The sharpening I hope can be done .

The whole 8mp-with-binning (or scaling) or 20mp I don't care about to be honest. In the current state it's not like you're gonna crap or digital zoom with those 20mp photos... and then I rather have 8mp where every pixel is kinda ok instead of 20mp where most of the pixels are noise or blur anyway.

Also there is a little bug with the scene detection Sometimes it's wrong that causes the same color noise.

I followed the instructions in the OP, disabled APK signature verification, installed the new app, and moved it to system.

No installation errors, but it crashes on launch.

EDIT: Problem fixed. You need to check BOTH signature verification disable boxes in the patcher. The post that the OP links for for details is correct, the instructions in the OP are not.

I've yet to installed exposed frame work since i'm new to the device so i'm just trying to understand sony's bizarro world. So this mod restores part of the stock camera functionality for user who are using exposed?
