[MOD] Battery with actual percentage

HAHA! That's the first thing I've tried For once those icons have different background (the bar is different). Secondly those png's in my com.htc.resources.apk caused no icon at all...they are 8bit and for whatever reason 8bit png's don't work as a battery icons...

EDIT: I've made my own version now anyway, I'm 100% happy with it, If someone wants to fiddle around with it, I'll just share the psd file

You could make background transparent since the battery is square shaped and need no feathering of edges. I would do that but my tie is really scarce these days.

i've replaced the images in the framework-res.apk and then i restarted my phone. However the percentage doesn't change (it's fixed to 80% even if a battery widget says 73%) does this depends on kernel or what? i'm running a beta rom (new sense 1.0 beta2)

Ok, i've found an xml file i guess i've to update (stat_sys_battery.xml)
but i'm unable to read it (unreadable characters...). Doesn't seem a standard xml.

It is actually pretty standard, but it is compiled, so you have to decompile it...
To do that, use apktool Search...
